Paul in writing of the work accomplished for the upbuilding of the Israelitish church in the wilderness, said: “All our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:1-4. Those who accept Christ as the rock, and feast upon his Word as the true meat and drink,-these are building upon a firm foundation, and can indeed sing,-“On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.” COOD 11.3
