N’SHAH-MAH DEFINED MND 48

Gesenius gives to this word the following definitions:- MND 48.4

N’SHAH-MAH, 1. Breath, spirit, spoken of the breath of God, i.e., a) the wind. b) the breath, breathing, of his anger. c) the Spirit of God, imparting life and wisdom. 2. Breath, life, of man and beasts; Genesis 2:7; and breathed into his nostrils, elo-chai n’shah-mah, the breath of life; more fully, elo-chai ruahh n’shah-mah, Genesis 7:22. Hence, anima, the vital spirit, psuche, the same as nephesh. 3. The mind, the intellect. 4. Concrete, living thing, animal. MND 48.5
