8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow (Genesis 27:29) down before thee. KJRV — Genesis 49:8
9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, (Revelation 5:5) and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? KJRV — Genesis 49:9
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him (Numbers 24:17; Deuteronomy 18:15; Daniel 9:24; Matthew 11:3; Acts 3:22; Acts 7:37) shall the gathering of the people be. KJRV — Genesis 49:10
