Matthew 25 KJRV — Matthew 25

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. (Ephesians 5:29; Revelation 19:7; Revelation 21:2; Revelation 21:9) KJRV — Matthew 25:1

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. KJRV — Matthew 25:2

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: KJRV — Matthew 25:3

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. KJRV — Matthew 25:4

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered (1 Thessalonians 5:6) and slept. KJRV — Matthew 25:5

And at midnight there was a cry (Matthew 24:31; 1 Thessalonians 4:16) made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. KJRV — Matthew 25:6

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. (Luke 12:35) KJRV — Matthew 25:7

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. KJRV — Matthew 25:8

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy (Isaiah 55:1; Matthew 13:44; Revelation 3:18) for yourselves. KJRV — Matthew 25:9

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. (Luke 13:25) KJRV — Matthew 25:10

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. KJRV — Matthew 25:11

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. KJRV — Matthew 25:12

Watch (Matthew 24:42; Mark 13:33; Luke 21:36; 1 Corinthians 16:13) therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. KJRV — Matthew 25:13

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far (Matthew 21:33; Luke 19:12) country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. KJRV — Matthew 25:14

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according (Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:7) to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. KJRV — Matthew 25:15

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, (1 Peter 4:10) and made them other five talents. KJRV — Matthew 25:16

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. KJRV — Matthew 25:17

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid (Philippians 2:21) his lord's money. KJRV — Matthew 25:18

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. KJRV — Matthew 25:19

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. KJRV — Matthew 25:20

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler (Matthew 24:47; Luke 12:44; Luke 22:29) over many things: enter thou into the joy (Acts 2:28; Hebrews 12:2; 1 Peter 1:8) of thy lord. KJRV — Matthew 25:21

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. KJRV — Matthew 25:22

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. KJRV — Matthew 25:23

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: KJRV — Matthew 25:24

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. KJRV — Matthew 25:25

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: KJRV — Matthew 25:26

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. (Exodus 22:25; Leviticus 25:36; Deuteronomy 23:19; Nehemiah 5:7; Psalms 15:5; Proverbs 28:8; Jeremiah 15:10; Ezekiel 18:13; Ezekiel 22:12; Luke 19:23) KJRV — Matthew 25:27

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. KJRV — Matthew 25:28

For unto every one that hath (John 15:2; 1 Corinthians 15:10; 2 Corinthians 6:1) shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. KJRV — Matthew 25:29

And cast (Matthew 8:12; Matthew 22:13; Matthew 24:51; Luke 13:28; 2 Peter 2:17; Jude 1:13) ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. KJRV — Matthew 25:30

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels (Daniel 7:10; Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 16:27; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; Jude 1:14) with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: KJRV — Matthew 25:31

And before (Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:12) him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate (Ezekiel 20:38; Ezekiel 34:17; Matthew 13:49) them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: KJRV — Matthew 25:32

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. KJRV — Matthew 25:33

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit (Romans 8:17; 1 Peter 1:4; 1 Peter 3:9; Revelation 21:7) the kingdom prepared (1 Corinthians 2:9; Hebrews 11:16) for you from the foundation of the world: KJRV — Matthew 25:34

For I was an hungred, (Isaiah 58:7; Ezekiel 18:7; 2 Timothy 1:16; James 1:27) and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, (Hebrews 13:2; 3 John 1:5) and ye took me in: KJRV — Matthew 25:35

Naked, (James 2:15) and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, (2 Timothy 1:16) and ye came unto me. KJRV — Matthew 25:36

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? KJRV — Matthew 25:37

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? KJRV — Matthew 25:38

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? KJRV — Matthew 25:39

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done (Proverbs 14:31; Proverbs 19:17) it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (Acts 9:4; 1 Corinthians 8:12) KJRV — Matthew 25:40

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart (Psalms 5:5; Psalms 6:8; Matthew 7:23) from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, (Matthew 13:40) prepared (Matthew 8:29; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6) for the devil and his angels: KJRV — Matthew 25:41

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: KJRV — Matthew 25:42

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. KJRV — Matthew 25:43

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? KJRV — Matthew 25:44

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch (Proverbs 17:5) as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. KJRV — Matthew 25:45

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: (Daniel 12:2; John 5:29; Romans 2:8; Revelation 14:11; Revelation 20:15) but the righteous into life (Revelation 3:21; Revelation 7:15) eternal. KJRV — Matthew 25:46
