James 2 KJRV — James 2

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. KJRV — James 2:1

For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; KJRV — James 2:2

And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: KJRV — James 2:3

Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? KJRV — James 2:4

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor (Psalms 22:24; Isaiah 61:1; Matthew 11:5; Luke 4:18) of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? KJRV — James 2:5

But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich (Luke 12:21; 1 Timothy 6:17; Revelation 2:9) men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? KJRV — James 2:6

Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? KJRV — James 2:7

If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 5:43; Matthew 19:19; Matthew 22:39; Mark 12:31; Luke 10:27; Romans 13:9; Galatians 5:14) shalt love thy neighbour as thyself,Leviticus 19:18 ye do well: KJRV — James 2:8

But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. KJRV — James 2:9

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Deut 27:26Deuteronomy 27:26 Gal 3:10Galatians 3:10 KJRV — James 2:10

For he that said, Do not commit adulteryExodus 20:14 , said also, Do not killExodus 20:13. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. Exod 20:14,13Exodus 20:13 KJRV — James 2:11

So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. KJRV — James 2:12

For he shall have judgment (Matthew 18:35; Mark 11:26) without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. KJRV — James 2:13

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? KJRV — James 2:14

If a brother or sister be naked, (Matthew 25:36) and destitute of daily food, KJRV — James 2:15

And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? KJRV — James 2:16

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. KJRV — James 2:17

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. KJRV — James 2:18

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. KJRV — James 2:19

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? KJRV — James 2:20

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered (Genesis 22:12; Genesis 26:5) Isaac his son upon the altar? KJRV — James 2:21

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? KJRV — James 2:22

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed (Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3; Galatians 3:6) God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:Genesis 15:6 and he was called the Friend (Isaiah 41:8) of God.Isaiah 41:8 KJRV — James 2:23

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. KJRV — James 2:24

Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? KJRV — James 2:25

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. KJRV — James 2:26
