In forming the General Conference Committee for 1901-02, the number of members was increased from thirteen to twenty-five, and care was taken to place on the Committee, ministers, physicians, teachers, printers, and business men. Reasons for this change are plain-that the affairs of the Conference might come before many minds, and that all the most important phases of our great work might be definitely represented in the Committee. The ultimate point to be gained is that every department of the cause shall receive the fairest and most efficient administration possible. GCB July 1, 1901, page 513.5
