OAKWOOD INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL, HUNTSVILLE, ALA GCB July 1, 1896, page 711

L. T. NICOLA

Elder G. A. Irwin gave a detailed report of this enterprise since its inception. He said that the school would probably never be self-sustaining. He was of the opinion, however, that with proper implements the whole of the three hundred and sixty acres of land composing the farm could be cultivated, and made to pay the running expenses of the school. The wages of the teachers and superintendent will still have to be paid by the General Conference. O. A. OLSEN, Chairman. J. I. GIBSON, Secretary. GCB July 1, 1896, page 711.11
