Weren’t You Terribly Disappointed When Jesus Didn’t Come? LASW 18

But the time passed. The disappointment of God’s waiting people was great. We were disappointed, yet did not renounce our faith. Many still clung to the hope that Jesus would not long delay His coming; the word of the Lord was sure, it could not fail. We felt that we had done our duty, we had lived up to our precious faith; we were disappointed, but not discouraged. We must wait with hope and trust. 2Life Sketches of Ellen G. White, 57. LASW 18.2
