Perhaps more significant than all the other characteristics of those who read the writings of Ellen White was the finding that “82 percent of the readers usually or always have daily personal Bible study, while only 47 percent of the nonreaders do.” The difference of thirty-five percent was the largest relating to any question in the survey. Adventists who read Ellen White place a higher value on Bible study than those who do not read her. Further, those who follow her counsel are the church’s frontline sharers of the Good News that they continually receive from studying the Bible and her writings. MOL 515.8
In other words, those who read Ellen White are those who best understand the mission and message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. MOL 515.9
