A quotation is made, beginning, “the popular society of the museum entered the hall,” et cetera, which is also found in Thoughts on Daniel (Notes on Daniel 11:38), where it is credited to Scott’s Life of Napoleon, without any page being given. It seems to me that the expression, “the popular society of the museum” must be a mistranslation of the French name of some society of that period. WWPGC 21.4
