    Genesis

    Genesis 1

    1 In the beginning (John 1:1; Hebrews 1:10) God created (Job 38:4; Isaiah 44:24; Romans 1:20; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 4:11) the heaven and the earth.KJRV — Genesis 1:1

    2 And the earth was without form, (Jeremiah 4:23) and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.KJRV — Genesis 1:2

    3 And God said, Let (Psalms 74:16) there be light: and there was light.KJRV — Genesis 1:3

    4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.KJRV — Genesis 1:4

    5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.KJRV — Genesis 1:5

    6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.KJRV — Genesis 1:6
