    Matthew 10

    1 And when he had called (Mark 3:13; Mark 6:7; Luke 6:13; Luke 9:1) unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.KJRV — Matthew 10:1

    2 Now the names (Mark 3:14; Luke 6:13; Acts 1:13) of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon (John 1:42) , who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, (Matthew 4:21; Matthew 20:20; Matthew 26:37; Mark 1:19; Mark 10:35) and John his brother;KJRV — Matthew 10:2

    3 Philip, and Bartholomew ; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; KJRV — Matthew 10:3

    24 The disciple (Luke 6:40; John 13:16; John 15:20) is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.KJRV — Matthew 10:24

    25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, (2 Kings 1:2; Matthew 9:34; Matthew 12:24; Mark 3:22; Luke 11:15) how much more shall they call them of his household?KJRV — Matthew 10:25

    26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, (Mark 4:22; Luke 8:17) that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.KJRV — Matthew 10:26

    27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.KJRV — Matthew 10:27
