    RELIGIOUS PRIVILEGES OF ABSENT MEMBERS

Very frequently brethren and sisters of this church who live in some far-off locality write that they “do not have the privilege of meeting with those of like precious faith,” but that they are of the class of “the lonely ones.” Such persons are entitled to the sympathies of those who have the privilege of assembling together. But occasionally we find that some of these very ones do not take any of our papers. To such we emphatically say, Take the Review and Herald. In many instances this is the only preacher the “lonely ones” have. But in the ample pages of our good church paper any and all may have a feast to the soul every week. There are also other valuable journals, as the Signs, the American Sentinel, Good Health, and Home Missionary, which bring out many precious things connected with this cause. If any absent member of the Battle Creek church is in such straitened circumstances that he or she cannot take the Review, if they will report this fact to the elders, they will see that such persons have the paper.MBC94 9.7
