Romans KJRV — Romans

Romans 1 KJRV — Romans 1

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated (Acts 9:15) unto the gospel of God, KJRV — Romans 1:1

(Which he had promised (Titus 1:2) afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) KJRV — Romans 1:2

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; KJRV — Romans 1:3

And declared to be the Son of God with power, (1 Corinthians 1:24) according to the spirit (Matthew 3:16; John 15:26; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 5:6) of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: KJRV — Romans 1:4

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: (Acts 9:15) KJRV — Romans 1:5

Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: KJRV — Romans 1:6

To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. KJRV — Romans 1:7

First, I thank (Philippians 1:3) my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith (1 Thessalonians 1:8) is spoken of throughout the whole world. KJRV — Romans 1:8

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; KJRV — Romans 1:9

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will (James 4:15) of God to come unto you. KJRV — Romans 1:10

For I long to see you, (Romans 15:29) that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; KJRV — Romans 1:11

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. KJRV — Romans 1:12

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come (Romans 15:23) unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. KJRV — Romans 1:13

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. KJRV — Romans 1:14

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. KJRV — Romans 1:15

For I am not ashamed (2 Timothy 1:8) of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18) unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. KJRV — Romans 1:16

For therein is the righteousness (Romans 3:21) of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.Habakkuk 2:4 Hab 2:4Habakkuk 2:4 , Gal 3:11Galatians 3:11, Heb 10:38Hebrews 10:38 KJRV — Romans 1:17

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness (Job 24:13) of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; KJRV — Romans 1:18

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (John 1:9) KJRV — Romans 1:19

For the invisible things of him from the creation (Genesis 1:1; Job 38:4; Isaiah 44:24; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 11:3; Revelation 4:11) of the world are clearly seen, (Psalms 19:1) being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: KJRV — Romans 1:20

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not (Psalms 106:13) as God, neither were thankful; but became vain (2 Kings 17:15) in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. KJRV — Romans 1:21

Professing themselves to be wise, (Jeremiah 10:14) they became fools, KJRV — Romans 1:22

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God (Isaiah 40:18) into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. KJRV — Romans 1:23

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness (Matthew 23:27; Romans 6:19; 2 Corinthians 6:17; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 4:19; Ephesians 5:3; Ephesians 5:5; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:7) through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies (1 Corinthians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:4) between themselves: KJRV — Romans 1:24

Who changed the truth (1 Thessalonians 1:9) of God into a lie, (Isaiah 44:20; Jeremiah 13:25; Amos 2:4) and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. KJRV — Romans 1:25

For this cause God gave them up unto vile (Jude 1:10) affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: KJRV — Romans 1:26

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men (Leviticus 18:22) with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. KJRV — Romans 1:27

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (Ephesians 5:4) KJRV — Romans 1:28

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, KJRV — Romans 1:29

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, KJRV — Romans 1:30

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: KJRV — Romans 1:31

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure (Psalms 10:3; 1 Corinthians 13:6) in them that do them. KJRV — Romans 1:32
