1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: (Matthew 7:1; Luke 6:37; Romans 14:3; 1 Corinthians 4:3; 1 Corinthians 4:5; James 4:11) for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. KJRV — Romans 2:1

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them (2 Thessalonians 1:6) which commit such things. KJRV — Romans 2:2

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape (Proverbs 11:21) the judgment of God? KJRV — Romans 2:3

4 Or despisest thou the riches (Ephesians 1:7) of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering (Exodus 34:6; 2 Peter 3:9) ; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Revelation 2:21) KJRV — Romans 2:4

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest (James 5:3) up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; KJRV — Romans 2:5

6 Who (Proverbs 24:12) will render (Job 34:11; Psalms 62:12; Proverbs 24:12; Jeremiah 17:10; Matthew 16:27; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Peter 1:17; Revelation 2:23; Revelation 22:12) to every man according to his deeds:Proverbs 24:12 KJRV — Romans 2:6

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing (Psalms 62:12; 1 Corinthians 3:8) seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: KJRV — Romans 2:7

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Revelation 14:11; Revelation 20:15) KJRV — Romans 2:8

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; KJRV — Romans 2:9

10 But glory, (1 Peter 1:7) honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: KJRV — Romans 2:10

11 For there is no respect of persons (Job 34:19; Acts 10:34) with God. KJRV — Romans 2:11

12 For as many as have sinned without law (1 Corinthians 9:21) shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; KJRV — Romans 2:12

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers (Matthew 7:21; James 1:22) of the law shall be justified. KJRV — Romans 2:13

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: KJRV — Romans 2:14

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, (Jeremiah 31:33; Hebrews 8:10; Hebrews 10:16) their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) KJRV — Romans 2:15

16 In the day when God shall judge (Revelation 20:12) the secrets of men by (John 5:22) Jesus Christ according to my gospel. KJRV — Romans 2:16

17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, "called a Jew"Romans 2:17 KJRV — Romans 2:17

18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; (Deuteronomy 4:8; Psalms 147:19; Romans 3:2; Romans 9:4) KJRV — Romans 2:18

19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, KJRV — Romans 2:19

20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. KJRV — Romans 2:20

21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? KJRV — Romans 2:21

22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? KJRV — Romans 2:22

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? KJRV — Romans 2:23

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you,Ezekiel 36:20 as it is written. Ezek 36:20Ezekiel 36:20, Ezek 36:23Ezekiel 36:23 KJRV — Romans 2:24

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, (Romans 3:1) if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. KJRV — Romans 2:25

26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? KJRV — Romans 2:26

27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge (Matthew 12:41) thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? KJRV — Romans 2:27

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: KJRV — Romans 2:28

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision (Philippians 3:3; Colossians 2:11) is that of the heart, in the spirit, (Romans 7:6; 2 Corinthians 3:6) and not in the letter; whose praise (1 Corinthians 4:5) is not of men, but of God. KJRV — Romans 2:29
