Wayeyishiye okwexeshana iYerusalem ngenxa yenkohlakalo yababingeleli nabafundisi. “Njengokuba ke uMoses wayiphakamisayo inyoka entlango, umelwe kukuphakanyiswa ngokunjalo uNyana woMntu.” Yohane 3:14. Njengoko amehlo kaIsrayeli wonke ayebhekiswe kwinyoka eyaxhonywayo, umfuziselo wokuphiliswa kwabo, ngokunjalo, wonke amehlo kufuneka atsalelwe kuKristu, umbingelelo owazisa usindiso kwihlabathi elilahlekileyo. Yayiyingcinga egwenxa engomsebenzi kaMesiya, nokuswela ukukholelwa kwisimilo esingcwele sikaYesu, okwakhokelela abantakwabo ukuba bamkhuthaze ukuba aziveze ekuhleni ebantwini esidlweni seMinquba. Entliziyweni kaKristu, kwakubuhlungu ukuyinyanzelisa indlela ngokuchasene noloyiko, nodaniso, nokungakholwa kwabafundi baKhe abathandayo. Kwakunzima ukubakhokelela phambili kwintlungu nokuphelelwa lithemba okwakubalindele eYerusalem. USathana wayekho ukuba anyanzelise izicelo zaKhe kuNyana woMntu. Kungani ukuba kungabhekwa phambili kuyiwe kumasimi ehlabathi namazwi obabalo lwaKhe, inkcukumiso yamandla waKhe aphilisayo? Kungani ukuba angaluthabatheli kuYe uvuyo lokunika ukukhanya nochulumanco kwezo zigidi zimfamekisiweyo neziselusizini? Kungani ukuba kushiywe kubafundi baKhe ukuqokelelwa kwesivuno, bebuthakathaka kangako elukholweni, bethabatha kade kangako ukuqonda, berhuqa iinyawo kangako ukwenza? Kungani ukuba ajongane nokufa ngoku, awushiye umsebenzi usakhasa? Utshaba olusentlango lwajongana naYe uKristu lwamhlasela ngoku ngezoyikekayo nezinobuqhophololo izihendo. Ukuba uYesu wayeyekelele nje umzuzwana, ukuba wayelitshintshile ikhondo laKhe nokuba kukancinane nje, ukuze azisindise, izenzeleli zikaSathana ngezoyisa, libe ilizwe lona lalahleka. ULw 486.2
UYesu “wazimisela ngokuqinileyo ukuya eYerusalem.” Umthetho owodwa wobomi baKhe, yayiyintando kaYise. Kutyelelo lwasetempileni ngexesha eyinkwenkwana wayethe kuMariya, “Beningazi na ukuba ndimelwe kukuba ndibe semicimbini kaBawo?” Luka 2:49. Waya “wathuma abathunywa phambi kobuso bakhe; behambileke, bangenaemzaneniwamaSamariya,ukubabamlungiselele.” Abantu bala ukumamkela kuba wayesendleleni eya eYerusalem. Oku bakuchaza ngokuthi, uKristu wabonisa ukuwaxabisa amaYuda, ababewathiyile ngendlela embi bona. UYakobi noYohane, abathunywa bakaKristu, bacaphuka kakhulu ngesigezo esenziwa eNkosini yabo. Bazaliswa yingqumbo kuba yaphathwa ngobukrwada ngamaSamariya, kanti yayiwenzela imbeko ngobukho baYo. Babesanda kuba naYe uYesu entabeni yokwenziwa kumila-kumbi, baza bambona ezukiswa nguThixo, enikwa imbeko nguMoses noEliya. Oku kungahloniphi kubonakalaliswa ngamaSamari, kwakungafuneki, ukuba kuyekwe singabangakho isohlwayo esibonakalayo, ngokwabo ukucinga. ULw 487.2
Besiza kuYesu, bambikela amazwi abantu, bamxelela ukuba kwaliwe kwaukuba anikwe indawo yokulala. Bacinga ukuba imbi kakhulu into abayenzileyo kuYe, baye beyibona intaba yeKarmele ithe qelele, apho uEliya wabulala khona abaprofeti bobuxoki, bathi, “Nkosi, uyafuna na ukuba sitsho, kuhle umlilo ezulwini, ubatshise kuphele, njengoko noEliya wenjenjalo?” Bamangaliswa bakubona ukuba uYesu ubuhlungu ngamazwi abo, baza bamangaliswa ngakumbi kukuva ukukhalima kwaKhe, esithi, “Anazi ukuba ningabomoya onjani na; kuba uNyana woMntu engaze kutshabalalisa miphefumlo yabantu, uze kusindisa.” Wahamba waya komnye umzi. Asinguwo umsebenzi athunywe wona uKristu ukunyanzela abantu ukuba bamamkele. nguSathana nabantu abaqhutywa ngumoya wakhe, ozama ukunyanzela isazela. Phantsi kokuzenza abanenzondelelo yobulungisa, abantu abahlangene neengelosi ezikhohlakeleyo bazisa ubuhlungu phezu kwabazalwana babo ukuze babaguqulele kwiingcinga zenkolo yabo; kodwa uKristu uhlala ebonisa inceba, soloko ezama ukuzuza ngokutyhila uthando lwaKhe. Akakwazi ukungenisa ubutshaba emphefumlweni, engekhe amkele inkonzo engaphelelanga; kodwa unqwenela kuphela inkonzo yokuzithandela, ukuzinikela ngentumelelelo kwentliziyo phantsi kokunyanzelwa luthando. Abungeke bubekho obunye ubungqina obupheleleyo bokuba sinomoya kaSathana kunokuba sibe kwimeko elungele ukulimaza nokutshabalalisa abo bangawuthandiyo umsebenzi wethu, okanye abenza okuchaseneyo neengcinga zethu. Sonke isidalwa esingumntu, emzimbeni, emphefumlweni, nasemoyeni, sesikaThixo. UKristu wafa ukuze abahlangule bonke. Akukho nto imcaphukisa kakhulu uThixo ngaphezu kokuba abantu, ngeenkani ngasenkolweni, bazise imbulaleko kwabo bathengwe ngegazi loMsindisi. ULw 488.1
“Esukile apho, uze kungena emideni yakwaYuda, ecanda kweliphesheya kweYordan. Kubuya kuhlanganiselane izihlwele kuye; ubesithi ke, njengoko ebeqhele ngako, abuye azifundise.” Marko 10:1. ULw 488.2
Iqela leenyanga zokugqibela emsebenzini awayezele wona uKristu lachithelwa ePereya, ummandla “[o]kweliphesheya kweYordan” ukusuka kwelakwaYuda. Apha, isihlwele sabuthelana emanyathelweni aKhe, njengakulungiselelo lwaKhe lokuqala eGalili, yaza yaphindwa apha into eninzi kwimfundiso yaKhe yangaphambili. ULw 488.3
Njengoko [iNkosi] yayithume abalishumi elinambini, ngokunjalo “[ya]misela abanye . . . bengamashumi asixhenxe, yabathuma ngababini phambi kobuso bayo, kuyo yonke imizi neendawo ebiza kuya kuzo yona.” Luka 10:1. Aba bafundi babesele benexesha naYe, beqeqeshelwa umsebenzi wabo. Xa abalishumi elinambini babethunywa ukuba baye kumsebenzi wabo wokuqala bengenaye uYesu, abanye abafundi basala behamba naYe uYesu kuhambo olucanda eGalili. Ngaloo ndlela baba nethuba lolwalamano olusondeleyo naYe, nokufundiswa ngqo nguYe. Ngoku, inani elikhulu nalo laliza kuphuma liye kumsebenzi owahlukileyo. ULw 488.4
Imiyalelo eyanikwa amashumi asixhenxe yayifana naleyo yayinikwe abalishumi elinambini; kodwa umyalelo kwishumi elinambini, wokuba bangangeni nakowodwa umzi weNtlanga okanye wamaSamariya, awazange awunikwe amashumi asixhenxe. Nangona uKristu wayesanda kugxothwa ngamaSamariya, uthando lwaKhe ngakuwo aluzange lutshintshe. Xa amashumi asixhenxe ayephuma egameni laKhe, ahambela, kuqala, imizi yaseSamari. ULw 488.5
Ukutyelela kwaKhe uMsindisi eSamari, kwathi kamva, ukunconywa komSamariya olungileyo, novuyo olwaluzaliswe ngumbulelo lowayeneqhenqa, engumSamariya, nowabanguye kuphela kwishumi owabuya wabulela kuKristu, kwaba nokubaluleka okupheleleyo kubafundi. Isifundo sangena nzulu ezintliziyweni zabo. Ekubathumeni kwabo, phambi kokuba anyuke, uYesu wayikhankanya iSamari neYerusalem kunye nendawo yakwaYuda njengeendawo apho kwakuza kufuneka baqale khona ukushumayela iindaba ezilungileyo. Oku kuthunywa, imfundiso yaKhe yayibalungisile ukuba baze bakwenze. Xa babehamba egameni leNkosi yabo ukuya eSamari, babafumana abantu bekulungele ukubamkela. AmaSamari ayewavile amazwi kaKristu okuwancoma, kunye nemisebenzi yaKhe yenceba kubantu besizwe sabo. Babona ukuba, nangona babemphethe krwada, wayeneengcinga zothando ngabo, zaza zazuzeka iintliziyo zabo. Emva kokunyuka kwaKhe, babamkela abathunywa boMsindisi, baza abafundi baqokelela isivunoesikhuluphakathikwabobabezezona ntshabazinkulu ngaphambili. “Ingcongolo evikivekileyo akayi kuyaphula, umsonto oqhumayo akayi kuwucima; uya kukuphumelelisa okusesikweni ngokwenyaniso.” “Kanjalo ziya kuthembela egameni lakhe iintlanga.” Isa. 42:3; Mat. 12:21. Ekuthumeni amashumi asixhenxe, uYesu wawaxelela, kwanjengoko wayethume ishumi elinambini, ukuba bangabunyanzeli ubukho babo apho bangamkelekanga khona. “Emzini enisukuba ningena kuwo, banganamkeli,” wathi, “phumani niye ezitratweni zawo, nithi, “Nothuli lomzi wenu olunamathele kuthi, siluvuthululela kuni; kodwa ke kwazini khona oku, ukuba busondele kuni ubukumkani bukaThixo.” Babengayi kukwenza oko beqhutywa ngumoya wentiyo okanye ngesidima esonakeleyo, kodwa ngokubonisa ububi bento okuyiyo ukwala isigidimi seNkosi okanye abathunywa baYo. Ukwala abakhonzi beNkosi kukwala uKristu ngokwaKhe. ULw 489.1
“Ndithi kuni,” wongeza uYesu, “Koba nokunyamezeleka okweSodom ngaloo mini, kunokwaloo mzi.” Ngoko ingqondo yaKhe yabuyela kwiidolophu zaseGalili apho umsebenzi omninzi wakhe wawuchithwe khona. Ngamazwi anentlungu enzulu, wadanduluka, wathi, “Yeha! Wena Korazin! Yeha, wena Bhetesayida! Ngokuba imisebenzi yamandla eyenzeke kuni, ukuba yayenzeke eTire naseTsidon, ingeyaguqukayo kwakudala loo mizi, ihleli ngeengubo ezirhwexayo naseluthuthwini. Ewe, koba nokunyamezeleka okweTire nokweTsidon ngomgwebo kunokwenu. Nawe Kapernahum, uphakanyiselweyo ezulwini, uya kuphoswa phantsi kwelabafileyo.” ULw 489.2
Kwezo dolophu zixakekileyo ngakulwandle lwaseGalili, ezona ntsikelelo zityebileyo zasezulwini kwakuphiwe ngazo ngaphandle kwentlawulo. Imihla ngemihla, uMthetheli wobomi wayengena ephuma phakathi kwabo. Ubuqaqawuli bukaThixo, obabonwa kwakudala ngabaprofeti nookumkani, babubengezela phezu kwezihlwele ezazingqonge amanyathelo oMsindisi. Ukanti basala iSipho sasezulwini. ULw 489.3
Ngokuqhayisa okukhulu ngobulumko, abafundisi babebalumkisa abantu ukuba bangazamkeli iimfundiso ezintsha ezazifundiswa yile titshala intsha; kuba izinto ezifundisayo nezenzayo zazichasene neemfundiso zomawokhulu. Abantu bakholwa koko kwakufundiswa ngababingeleli nabaFarisi, endaweni yokuzama ukuziqondela ngokwabo ilizwi likaThixo. Baphakamisa ababingeleli nabaphathi endaweni yokuphakamisa uThixo, baza bayala inyaniso ukuze bagcine ezabo izithethe. Abaninzi babethabathekile bada baphantsa ukoyiseka, kodwa abazange benze ngokweengcinga zabo, baza ababalelwa ngakwicala likaKristu. USathana weza nezihendo zakhe, kwada ukukhanya kwabonakala kububumnyama. Ngaloo ndlela abaninzi bayala inyaniso engeyaba lusindiso lomphefumlo. ULw 489.4
INgqina eliyinyaniso lithi, “Yabona, ndimi emnyango ndinkqonkqoza.” IsiTy. 3:20.Konke ukulunyukiswa, konke ukuthethiswa, nako konke ukucengwa okuselizwini likaThixo okanye ngabathunywa baKhe, kukunkqonkqoza elucangweni lwentliziyo. Lilizwi likaYesu licela ukungena. Ngako konke ukunkqonkqoza okungahoywanga, ukulungela ukuvula kuya kuba buthakathaka. Iimbono ezingoMoya Oyingcwele, xa zingakhathalelwanga namhlanje, azisayi kuba namandla ngomso. Intliziyo iya isihla ekuthabathekeni, ide iwele ekungabuqaphelini okuyingozi ubufutshane bobomi, nephakade elikhulu ngaphesheya. Ukugwetywa kwethu emgwebeni akuyi kuba sisiphumo sento yokuba besiphazamile, kodwa kuya kuba kwinto yokuba siye satyeshela amathuba athunyelwe lizulu ukuba siyifunde ukuba iyintoni inyaniso. Njengabapostile, amashumi asixhenxe azifumana izipho ezingaphezu kwendalo njengetywina lomsebenzi abawuthunyiweyo. Wakuba uphelile umsebenzi wabo, babuya bevuya, besithi, “Nkosi, needemon ezi zisithobele egameni lakho.” UYesu waphendula, wathi, “Bendimbona uSathana njengombane esiwa ezulwini.” ULw 490.2
Imibono yexesha elidlulileyo neyexesha elizayo, yabekwa engqondweni kaYesu. Wambona uKhwezi xa wayelahlelwa ngaphandle kweendawo zasezulwini. Wakhangela phambili kwimibono yeyaKhe intlungu, xa, kwakuza kuthi phambi kwawo wonke amazwe, isimilo somlahlekisi siya kutyhilwa. Wasiva isikhalo, esithi, “Kugqityiwe” (Yohane 19:30), sisazisa ukuba ukuhlangulwa kohlanga olulahlekileyo kuqinisekiswe ngonaphakade, ngokuchasene nezityholo, iinkohliso, ukuzimilisa okungekuko, awayeza kukuphembelela uSathana. Ngaphaya komnqamlezo waseKalvari, nentlungu nehlazo lawo, uYesu wakhangela phambili kwimini enkulu yokugqibela, xa umthetheli wamandla omoya aya kujongana nentshabalalo yakhe emhlabeni, owonakala kudala ngenxa yovukelo lwakhe. UYesu wawubona umsebenzi wobubi uphele ngonaphakade, uxolo lukaThixo luzalise izulu nomhlaba. ULw 491.1
Ukususela ngoko ukubheka phambili, abalandeli bakaKristu kwakufuneka bambone uSathana elutshaba oloyisiweyo. Emnqamlezweni, uYesu wayeza kuzuza uloyiso awayelangazelela ukuba balwamkele njengolulolwabo. “Niyabona,” watsho, “ndininika igunya lokunyathela phezu kweenyoka noonomadudwane, naphezu kwawo onke amandla alo utshaba; kanjalo akukho nto ingakhe inenzakalise.” ULw 491.2
Amandla apheleleyo kaMoya Oyingcwele alukhuselo kuwo wonke umphefumlo otyumkileyo. Akukho noyedwa othi ngokuzohlwaya nokholo abange ukhuseleko lwaKhe aya kumvumela uKristu ukuba adlule phantsi kwegunya lotshaba. UMsindisi usecaleni labantu baKhe abahendwayo nabalingwayo. Xa bekunye naYe, ayikho into ekuthiwa kukusilela,ukulahleka,engenakwenzeka, okanye ukoyiswa; sinokuzenzazonkeizintongaYelowousomelezayo. Xa izihendo nezilingo zifika, musa ukulindela ukuba uzilungise zonke iinzima, kodwa khangela kuYesu, umncedi wakho. ULw 491.3
Kukho amaKristu acinga athethe konke kakhulu ngamandla kaSathana. Acinga ngomchasi wawo, athandaza ngaye, athetha ngaye, uvela abe yinkabankaba engaphaya kweengcinga zawo ngobukhulu. Yinyaniso yona into yokuba uSathana usisidalwa esinamandla; kodwa, makubulelwe kuThixo, sinoMsindisi oligorha, owamgxothayo ongendawo ezulwini. USathana uyaneliseka xa sibabaza amandla wakhe. Kutheni singathethi ngoYesu? Kutheni singababazi amandla aKhe nothando lwaKhe? ULw 493.1
Umnyama wesithembiso orhangqe itrone yaphezulu ungumnqophiso ongunaphakade wokuba “uThixo wenjenje ukulithanda kwakhe ihlabathi, ude wancama uNyana waKhe ekuphela kwamzeleyo, ukuze bonke abakholwayo kuye bangatshabalali, koko babe nobomi obungunaphakade.” Yohane 3:16. Uyangqina kwindalo yonke ukuba uThixo akasokuze abashiye abantu baKhe ekulweni kwabo nobubi. Usisiqinisekiso kuthi samandla nokhuselo ngalo lonke ixesha itrone ngokwayo iya kuba isekho. ULw 493.2
UYesu wongeza, wathi, “Noko ke maningakuvuyeli oku, kokuba oomoya benithobele; vuyelani ke kanye okokuba amagama enu ebhaliwe emazulwini.” Musani ukuvuyiswa kuba ninamandla, hleze nilahlekwe ngumbono wokuxhomekeka kwenu kuThixo. Lumkani, hleze ukwaneliseka kuka-mna kungenelele, nize nisebenze ngawenu amandla, endaweni yokusebenza ngomoya namandla weNkosi yenu. Umna uhleli elungele ukuba anconywe ngako nje ukuba kubekho impumelelo emsebenzini. Umna uyakhohliswa aphakanyiswe, ukuze ingashicileleki kwezinye iingqondo into yokuba uThixo uyinto yonke kuko konke. Umpostile uPawulos uthi, “Xa sukuba ndiswele amandla, kuxa ndinamandla.” 2 Korinte 12:10. Xa sikuqonda ukungabi nawo kwethu amandla, sifunda ukuxhomekeka kumandla angekho ngaphakathi. Akukho nto inokuyithimba kakhulu intliziyo njengovo oluhleli lukho lomthwalo esinawo ngakuThixo. Akukho nto ifikelela ezantsi ngokupheleleyo kwezona njongo zinzulu njengovo lothando oluxolelayo lukaKristu. Kufuneka sive ngoThixo, ngoko siya kuzaliswa nguMoya waKhe Oyingcwele, owenza sikwazi ukuba nokuhambisana nabazalwana bethu. Vuyani, ke ngoko, kuba ngoKristu niye naqhagamshelana noThixo, naba ngamalungu osapho lwasezulwini. Xa elowo ekhangela ngaphezulu kunaye, uya kuba novo oluqhubeka lungemi lobuthakathaka boluntu. Okona uya uncipha ekondleni u-mna, okona kuya kucaca kuphelele ukwazi ukuncamisa koMsindisi. Okona uzihlanganisa ngokusondeleyo nethende lokukhanya namandla, okona kuya kuba kukhulu ukukhanya okuya kuthululwa phezu kwakho, nokona aya kuba makhulu amandla oya kuba nawo okusebenzela uThixo. Vuya, ke ngoko, kuba umnye noThixo, umnye noKristu, kunye nalo lonke usapho lwasezulwini. ULw 493.3
Ngexesha abangamashumi asixhenxe bewaphulaphule amazwi kaKristu, uMoya Oyingcwele wawafaka ezingqondweni zabo ngeenyaniso eziphilileyo, nongokuyibhala inyaniso emacwecweni omphefumlo. Nangona isihlwele sasibajikelezile, babengathi bavalelene noThixo. ULw 494.1

Amgweba ngenkangeleko yangaphandle, ekuthotyelweni phantsi okwenziwayo kuYe njengomntu. Kubalobi beentlanzi nababuthi berhafu, kwanikelwa ukuba babone Ongabonwayo. Nabafundi basilele ukukuqonda konke uYesu awayelangazelela ukukutyhila kubo; kodwa amaxesha ngamaxesha, xa babeziyekela kumandla kaMoya Oyingcwele, iingqondo zabo zakhanyiselwa. Baya baqonda ukuba uThixo onobungangamsha, owayambethe ingubo yobuntu, wayephakathi kwabo. UYesu wagcoba kuba, nangona oku kwazi kwakungekho kumadoda azizilumko nazingqondi, kwakutyhiliwe kula madoda athobekileyo. Iinyaniso zomoya ezathethwa ngabaprofeti babeziqonda ngokucacileyo kunokuba kwakunjalo kubabhali bazo ngokwabo. Emva koku, babeye bazifunde iziBhalo zeTestamente eNdala, zingenje ngeemfundiso zababhali nabaFarisi, zingenje ngeentetho zamadoda azizilumko awafayo, kodwa ngokwesityhilelo esiphuma kuThixo. Bambona “lowo lingenako ihlabathi ukumamkela, ngokuba lingamboni, lingamazi nokumazi. Nina ke niyamazi; ngokuba uhleli nani, kanjalo uya kuba kuni.” Yohane 14:17. ULw 494.3

Ngezi nyanga zokugqibela zomsebenzi waKhe wolungiselelo, imizekeliso emininzi kaKristu yathethwa. Ababingeleli nabafundisi bamsukela ngobukrakra obabuya bukhula ngamandla, waza izilumkiso zaKhe kubo wazisithelisa ngemifuziselo. Babengakwazi ukuyiphazama intsingiselo yaKhe, kanti babengakwazi ukufumana emazwini aKhe nanto ni ababenokumilisela kuyo isityholo ngakuYe. Kumzekeliso womFarisi nombuthi werhafu, umthandazo wokuzingomba isifuba, othi, “Thixo, ndiyabulela kuwe, ukuba ndingenjengabanye abantu,” wavakala wahluke kakhulu kwisibongozo salowo wayeguquka, esithi, “Yiba netarhu kum, mna moni.” Luka 18:11, 13. UKristu wabukhalimela njalo ubuhanahanisi bamaYuda. Ukholo lwabo oluhexayo lwalukholisa ukomelezwa yinkumbulo yoko kwakuthethwe nguYesu, esithi, “Ke yena uThixo akayi kukha abalungise na abanyulwa bakhe, abakhala kuye imini nobusuku, noko azeka kade umsindo ngabo? Amandla ezi zifundo awazange aqondwe ngokupheleleyo ngabafundi ngelo xesha; kodwa emva kokuthululwa kukaMoya Oyingcwele, xa bebona ukuqokeleleka kweeNtlanga, kunye nomsindo onomona wamaYuda, basiqonda ngcono isifundo sonyana wolahleko, baza bakwazi ukungena eluvuyweni lwamazwikaKristu,athi, “Besimelwe kukuthisenzeimihlalike, sivuye;” “ngokub lo nyana wam ubefile, wabuya waphila; ubelahlekile, wafunyanwa.” Luka 15:32, 24. Thengisani ngeempahla zenu, nilize ngazo; zenzeleni iingxowa zemali ezingagugiyo, ubutyebi obungapheliyo emazulwini, apho kungasondeliyo sela, kungonakalisiyo nanundu; kuba apho bukhona ubutyebi benu, yoba lapho nentliziyo yenu.” Luka 12:32-34.
