1 Great god, whose universal sway
All heaven reveres, all worlds obey,
Now make the Savior’s glory known,
Extend his power, exalt his throne.MIM 20.3

2 Thy sceptre well becomes his hands,
Angels submit to his commands;
His justice shall protect the poor,
And pride and rage prevail no more.MIM 20.4

3 With power he vindicates the just,
And treads th’ oppressor in the dust;
His righteous government shall last,
