    Eggs

In 1869: Children who have strong animal passions and engage in self-abuse should not have eggs placed before them for their meals.—Testimonies for the Church 2:361, 362.CBPH 83.20

    In 1881: Eggs are not a “sinful” indulgence.—The Review and Herald, June 25, 1959, 130:23.CBPH 83.21

In 1902: “In some cases the use of eggs is beneficial.”—Counsels on Diet and Foods, 351.CBPH 83.22

In 1905: In families where the animal passions are strong and where children “are given to sensual habits, eggs should not be used.”—The Ministry of Healing, 320.CBPH 83.23

In 1909: While warnings have been given against the use of eggs by small children, “we should not consider it a violation of principle to use eggs from hens that are well cared for and suitably fed. Eggs contain properties that are remedial agencies in counteracting certain poisons.”—Testimonies for the Church 9:162.CBPH 83.24
