It is expected that the BULLETIN will contain an official conference directory about once every six months. In order to secure this, we desire the cooperation of all the conference and mission field secretaries. By looking over the directories you will see what applies to your field. You will notice, first, there is need of having the names and addresses of all the officers of each organization in your field; second, the name and address of each one in the employ of the conference.GCB January 1, 1899, page 6.32

Once each year we publish a summary of statistics. To secure this, it will be necessary for each church and local society to be prompt in reporting to the State secretary. These statistics from the churches and Sabbath-schools are important. First, they furnish to the General Conference a means of communication with every local company in the denomination, and to each State Conference Committee the same with reference to their conference. It furnishes to those in charge of the field an idea of the needs of the same.GCB January 1, 1899, page 6.33

If ever there was a time when every believer of present truth needs to be fully awake to the time, it certainly is now. The third angel’s message is to be given. The world is to be warned. Our work must be one of vigilance, and very aggressive. To accomplish this we must keep in touch with all our people.GCB January 1, 1899, page 6.34
