    C. H. Jones to E. G. White, Aug. 24, 1890

    C. H. Jones Aug 29, 1890
    [Extract]

Yes, I know something of the feeling that has existed toward you and your works since the conference at Minneapolis. It has been cruel and unreasonable, but, thank the Lord, light is beginning to break through the darkness. The Lord is working for his people, and I trust that you will take c courage. Still I know that this influence has done much to injure the sale of your books and this is just as the enemy would like to have it. But I cannot believe that it will continue this way much longer. “Truth crushed to earth will rise again, and already we see evidences of the change of feeling on the parts of the people. It is lamentable to think that so much valuable time has been lost. I hope and pray that the Lord may strengthen you to bear up under the heavy burdens that have been placed upon you. (E. G. White letter to Jones is not extant.)MMM 175.1
