Fannie Bolton to E. G. White, May 14, 1896, en route to America

I am grateful to the dear Lord for His peace within, for the fulfillment of the promise, that “His presence will go with me, and He will give me rest.”FBS 71.4

Quietness and confidence seem to have fallen into my heart like the dew. O that I may be able to impart some knowledge of God’s love and mercy to someone on this voyage. I realize to some degree how unworthy I am, but “Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners,” and this comforts me, and by the power of His grace alone I hope for salvation. I know your prayers will follow me.FBS 71.5

Thank you again for your patience and kindness and mercy to me. I go home with much lighter heart than I could have gone before this.FBS 71.6
