WILKINSON, Diantha (née Benedict) (1833-1907) and James M. (1837-1908)

Diantha Benedict, together with her parents, Joseph and Millie Benedict, joined the Sabbatarian Adventist movement about 1857 while living in Michigan. In 1859 and probably beyond, James and Ellen White occasionally employed Diantha in their home and at the Review office in Battle Creek, to help support the Benedict family. In 1861 Diantha married James M. Wilkinson. Ellen White cautioned Diantha and her mother for their tendency to take sides openly with erring church members who had received church discipline, thus undermining the church.1EGWLM 912.1
