    A quotation is made from the oath of allegiance to the pope, which does not agree with the words of this oath as found in the original Latin, and given in Delineation of Roman Catholicism, by Reverend Charles Elliott, D. D., pages 3 and 4. His translation of this sentence runs thus: “Heretics, schismatics, and rebels, to our said Lord, or His foresaid successors, I will, to my power, persecute and oppose.”WWPGC 33.14
