    16—Ukuwa Kwendlu Ka-Ahabhi

    Ngokwemvelo wayengumntu othanda ukutsalela kuye zonke izinto, uAhabhi, omelezwe waxhaswa ekwenzeni okungalunganga nguIzebhele, walandela akuxelelwa yintliziyo yakhe ekhohlakeleyo wada walawulwa ngokupheleleyo ngumoya wokubawa. Wayengakwazi ukuyicinga into yokwalelwa kwiminqweno yakhe; izinto awayezilangazelela wayecinga ukuba zimele ukuba zezakhe ngokufanelekileyo.AN 204.2

    UNabhoti wayesixabise kakhulu isidiliya sakhe kuba yayisesooyise, waza wala ukwahlukana naso. “Makube lee kum ngenxa kaYehova,” watsho kuAhabhi, “ukuba ndikunike ilifa loobawo.” Ngokwemimiselo yabaLevi, kwakungavumelekanga ukuba umhlaba udluliselwe [nakubani] ngonaphakade; bonke abantwana bakwaIsrayeli “baya kunamathela . . . elowo elifeni lesizwe sooyise Numeri 36:7.AN 205.1

    Ukwala kukaNabhoti kwamgulisa ukumkani obawayo. “UAhabhi waya endlwini yakhe ebuthe nkwa ubuso, ejalile lilizwi abelithethile kuye uNabhoti waseYizereli. . . . Waya walala esingqengqelweni, wabheka phaya; akadla nokudla.”AN 205.2

    UIzebhele wakhawuleza wazifunda iinkcukacha, wathi, enomsindo yinto yokuba kubekho umntu owala isicelo sikakumkani, wamqinisekisa uAhabhi ukuba akukho sidingo sokuba abebuhlungu. “Wena, abuphethwe nguwe na ngoku ubukumkani bakwaIsrayeli?” watsho. “Vuka udle ukudla, ichwayite intliziyo yakho; ndokunika mna isidiliya sikaNabhoti waseYizereli.”AN 205.3

    UAhabhi akazange akhathale ukuba umfazi wakhe uya kwenza cebo lini ukuze awufeze umnqweno wakhe, waza uIzebhele waqhubeka nokuyifeza injongo yakhe ekhohlakeleyo. Wabhala iincwadi egameni likakumkani, wazitywinangetywinalakhe, wazithumelakumadoda amakhulu nezihandiba zesixeko apho wayehlala khona uNabhoti, esithi: “Memani uzilo lokudla, nimbeke uNabhoti phambi kwabantu; nibeke amadoda amabini angamatshijolo phambi kwakhe, angqine ngaye, athi, Wena uthuke uThixo nokumkani. Nize nimkhuphele phandle, nimgibisele ngamatye, afe.”AN 205.4

    Umyalelo wathotyelwa. “Amadoda omzi wakhe, amadoda amakhulu nabanumzana ababehleli, . . . benza njengoko abebathumele ngako uIzebhele . . . njengoko kwakubhaliwe ezincwadini abezithumele kubo.” Emva koko wahamba uIzebhele waya kukumkani wamyalela ukuba asuke asithabathe isidiliya.     Ukumkani akazange ayekwe ukuba abuxhamle ubumnandi engathethiswanga ngenxa yoko akufumene ngobuqhetseba nokuphalala kwegazi. “Lafika ilizwi likaYehova kuEliya waseTishbhi, lisithi, Suka uhle, uye kukhawulela uAhabhi ukumkani wakwaIsrayeli okwaSamari; nanko esesidiliyeni sikaNabhoti, ehle waya kusithabatha.     Umprofeti wakhawuleza ukwenza umyalelo wezulu. Umlawuli onobutyala, ehlangabezana nomthunywa ojamileyo kaYehova ubuso ngobuso esidiliyeni, wathetha amazwi abonisa ukothuka, “Undifumene na, lutshaba lwam?”AN 206.3

    Wathi engalibazisanga, umthunywa kaYehova waphendula, wathi, “Ndikufumene; ngenxa enokuba uzithengisele ukwenza okubi emehlweni kaYehova, uyabona,ndikuzisela ububi, ndiwatshayele amavela-mva akho.” Akukho nceba yayiza kwenziwa. Indlu ka-Ahabhi yayiza kutshatyalaliswa yonke, “njengendlu kaYarobheham unyana kaNebhati, nanjengendlu kaBhahesha unyana ka-Ahiya,” watsho uYehova ngomkhonzi waKhe, “ngenxa yokuqumbisa ondiqumbise ngako, wawonisa amaIsrayeli.”AN 207.1

    Wathi uYehova ngoIzebhele, “UIzebhele uya kudliwa zizinja emseleni wongqameko lwaseYizereli. Owakwa-Ahabhi ofela phakathi komzi, uya kudliwa zizinja; ofela endle, uya kudliwa zintaka zezulu.”AN 207.2

    Wathi akusiva ukumkani esi sigidimi soyikekayo, “wazikrazula iingubo zakhe, wabeka iingubo ezirhwexayo enyameni yakhe, wazila ukudla, walala ngengubo ezirhwexayo wahamba kuhle.AN 207.3

    “Lafika ilizwi likaYehova kuEliya waseTishbhi, lisithi, Uyakubona na, ukuzithoba kwakhe uAhabhi ebusweni bam? Ngenxa enokuba ezithobile ebusweni bam, andiyi kubuzisa ububi emihleni yakhe; ndiya kuyizisela ububi indlu yakhe ngemihla yonyana wakhe.”AN 207.4

    Kwaba lixesha elingaphantsi kweminyaka emithathu emva koko ukufa kukakumkani uAhabhi esandleni samaSiriya. UAhaziya, umlandeli wakhe, “wenza okubi emehlweni kaYehova, wahamba ngendlela kayise, nangendlela yonina, nangendlela kaYarobheham.” “Wakhonza uBhahali, waqubuda kuye, wamqumbisa uYehova uThixo kaIsrayeli,” njengoko uyise uAhabhi wenzayo. 1 Kumkani 22:52, 53.     Wathi akuba ewe “efestileni yegumbi lakhe eliphezulu,” uAhaziya wenzakala kakhulu, waza wathi ngokoyika isiphumo esinokwenzeka, wathuma abanyebabakhonzi bakheukubababuzisekuBhahalizebhubhi, uthixo wase-Ekron, ukuba uya kuphila na okanye akayi kuphila. Uthixo wase-Ekron wayemele ukumazisa, ngejelo elingababingeleli bakhe, ngeziganeko ezizayo. Abantu abaninzi babebuzisa kuye; kodwa iziprofeto ezazithethwa apho, nolwazi olwalunikwa, zaziphuma kwinkosi yobumnyama.AN 207.6

    Abakhonzi baka-Ahaziya bahlangana nendoda kaThixo, eyabayalela ukuba babuyele kukumkani nesigidimi: “Kungokuba kungekho Thixo kwaIsrayeli na, le nto niya kubuzisa kuBhahalize-bhubhi, uthixo wase-Ekron? Ngako oko utsho uYehova ukuthi, Isingqengqelo eso, onyuke waya kuso, akuyi kuhla kuso; inene, uya kufa.” Akuba esihambisile isigidimi sakhe, umprofeti wahamba.AN 208.1

    Abakhonzi abakhwankqisiweyo bakhawuleza babuyela kukumkani, bawaphinda kuye amazwi endoda yakwaThixo. Ukumkani wabuza, “Iluhlobo luni na indoda leyo?” Baphendula, “Yindoda engubo ixhonti, ebhinqe umbhinqo wentlonze esinqeni sayo.” “NguEliya waseTishibhi,” wankqangaza uAhabhi. Wazi ukuba, ukuba ngumntu ongaziwayo ngabathunywa bakhe ngokwenene yayinguEliya, amazwi entshabalalo athethiweyo ngokuqinisekileyo aya kwenzeka.     “Sathi isithunywa sikaYehova kuEliya, Yihla naye; musa ukumoyika. Wesuka ke, wehla, waya naye kukumkani. Wathi kuye, Utsho uYehova ukuthi, Ngenxa enokuba uthumele abathunywa bokubuzisa kuBhahali-zebhubhi, uthixo wase-Ekron, kungokuba kungekho Thixo kwaIsrayeli na, kungabuziswa kuye? Ngako oko isingqengqelo eso, unyuke waya kuso, akusayi kuhla kuso; inene, uya kufa.”AN 209.1

    Ngexesha lokulawula kukayise, uAhaziya wabubona ubungqina obumangalisayo uThixo awabunika uIsrayeli okreqileyo ngendlela abathabatha ngayo abo babekela bucala amabango abophelelayo omthetho waKhe. UAhaziya wayenze ngokungathi izinto ezoyikekayoeziyinyaniso zingamabali nje azintsomi. Endaweni yokuba ayithobeAN 209.2

    intliziyo yakhe phambi kukaYehova, wasuka walandela uBhahali, kwathi, ekugqibeleni, wakwenza oku esona senzo sesibindi senkohlakalo. Enovukelo, nokungafuni ukuguquka, uAhaziya wafa, “ngokwelizwi likaYehova elathethwa nguEliya.”AN 209.3

    Imbali yesono sikaKumkani Ahaziya nokohlwaywa kwaso inesilumkiso ekungekho namnye onokungayikhathaleli aze asinde ekohlwayweni. Abakholelwa emimoyeni bangathetha behlekisa ngobugqi bakudala, kodwa umkhohlisi omkhulu uhleka enoloyiso njengoko beziyekela kubuchule bakhe obuyenye imo. Baninzi abayibaleka ngoloyiko ingcamango yokubuzisa kwimimoya yabafileyo, kodwa abatsalwa ngeendlela ezikholisa kakhulu zonqulo lwemimoya. Abanye balahlekiswa ziimfundiso zoLwazi lobuKristu (Christian Science), nemfihlelo yokufunda ukumazi uThixo ngokucamanga nezinye iinkolo zaseMpuma.AN 210.2

    Abapostile phantse bazo zonke iindidi zonqulo lwemimoya babanga ukuba namandla okuphilisa.     UThixo wayenaso isizathu sokungakholiseki kukungahloneli Thixo kuka-Ahaziya. Yintoni angazange ayenze ukuba azuze iintliziyo zabantu bakaIsrayeli nokubakhuthaza ukuba bathembele kuYe? Kwakuziinkulungwane (uThixo) ebanika abantu izibonakalaliso zobubele nothando olungenakho ukufaniswa nolunye. Ukuba ingqumbo kaThixo yayiphenjelelwe sisenzo sika-Ahaziya, unokuba ubathabatha njani abo bathi, benako kukhanya kukhulu, basuke bakhethe ukulandela kwaelo khondo lifanayo?AN 211.2

    Abo bazinikela ebugqwirheni bukaSathana, basenokuqhayisa ngokukhulu abakuzuzileyo; kodwa ingaba oku kubonisa ukuba indlela yabo ilumkile okanye ikhuselekile? Kuya kuthini ukuba ubomi buye banda? Kuya kuthini ukuba inzuzo yexeshana iye yakhuseleka? Ingaba kuya kuhlawula na ekugqibeleni ukutyeshela intando kaThixo? Yonke loo nto ibonakala ngokungathi yinzuzo iya kubonakala ekugqibeleni ukuba ibe yilahleko engenakube ibuyiselwe. Asinakho ukuwisa nasinye isithintelo esimiswe nguThixo sokukhusela abantu baKhe egunyeni likaSathana kanti asinakuze sohlwaywe.AN 212.1

    Njengoko uAhaziya wayengenaye unyana, walandelwa ekulawuleni nguYehoram, umntakwabo, owalawula phezu kwezizwe ezilishumi ishumi elinambini leminyaka. Kuyo yonke le minyaka, unina, uIzebhele, wayesaphila, waza waqhubeka nokusebenzisa impembelelo yakhe ekhohlakeleyo phezu kwemicimbi yesizwe. Kodwa ke wanamathela ezonweni zikaYarobheham unyana kaNebhati, awawonisa ngazo amaIsrayeli; akatyeka kuzo.” Kumkani 3:2, 3.AN 212.2

    Kwakungexesha lokulawula kukaYehoram phezu kukaIsrayeli ukufa kukaYehoshafati, waza unyana kaYehoshafati, naye owaye kwanguYehoram, wakhwela etroneni yobukumkani bakwaYuda. Ngokutshata kwakhe intombi ka-Ahabhi noIzebhele, uYehoram wakwaYuda waya wahlangana ngokusondelelene kakhulu nokumkani wakwaIsrayeli; waza ukulawula kwakhe walandela uBhahali, “njengoko yenzangako indlu ka-Ahabhi.” “Kananjalo, yena wenza iziganga ezintabeni zakwaYuda; wabahenyuzisa abemibaseYerusalem, wawawexula amaYuda.” 2 IZikronike 21:6, 11.AN 212.3

    Ukumkani wakwaYuda akazange avunyelwe ukuba aqhubeke nokreqo lwakhe olubi engathethiswanga. Umprofeti uEliya wayengekaguqulwa, waza akakwazi ukuthi cwaka bube ubukumkani bukaYuda bulandela ikhondo elinye elazisa ubukumkani bangasentla kumngcipheko wentshabalalo. Umprofeti wathumela kuYehoram wakwaYuda imbhalelwano, apho ukumkani okhohlakeleyo wafunda khona amazwi awoyikekayo:AN 213.1

    “Utsho uYehova, uThixo kaDavide uyihlo, ukuthi, Ngethuba lokuba ungahambanga ngeendlela zikaYehoshafati uyihlo, nangeendlela zika-Asa ukumkani wakwaYuda; usuke wahamba ngeendlela zookumkani bakwaIsrayeli, wawahenyuzisa amaYuda nabemi baseYerusalem, ngokokuhenyuzisa kwendlu ka-Ahabhi; kananjalo wababulala abaninawa bakho bendlu kayihlo, ababelungile kunawe; yabona, uYehova uya kubabetha ngesibetho esikhulu abantu bakho, noonyana bakho, nabafazi bakho, nempahla yakho yonke; ke wena wobethwa zizifo ezininzi.”AN 213.2

    Ukuzalisekisa esi siprofeto, “uYehova wawaxhokonxa amaFilisti, nama-Arabhi asecaleni lamaKushi, ukuba amchase uYehoram. Enyuka eza kwelamaYuda, atyhoboza, angena kulo, athimba yonke impahla eyafumaneka endlwini yokumkani, kwanoonyana bakhe, nabafazi bakhe; abamshiya nanyana, yaba nguYehowahazi [uAhaziya, Azariya], unyana wakhe omncinane yedwa.AN 213.3

    “Emveni kwezo zinto, uYehova wambetha ezibilinini zakhe ngesifo esingenakuphiliswa.Kwathiekuhambeni kwexesha, ekupheleni kweminyakaemibiniesifa, . . . wafa esesezintlungwini ezinkulu.” “UAhaziya unyana wakhe waba ngukumkani esikhundleni sakhe.” Iindima 12:19; 2 Kumkani 8:24.AN 214.1

    UYehoram unyana ka-Ahabhi wayesalawula kubukumkani bakwaIsrayeli ngexesha umtshana wakhe, uAhaziya, wahlala etroneni kwaYuda. UAhaziya walawula umnyaka omnye, kwathi ngeli xesha, impembelelo kanina, uAtaliya, “[o]bengumcebisi wakhe, ukuba enze okungendawo,” “wahamba ngendlela yendlu ka-Ahabhi, wenza ububi emehlweni kaYehova.” 2 IZikronike 22:3, 4; 2 Kumkani 8:27. UIzebhele uninakhulu, wayesaphila, waza yena [uYehoram wakwaYuda] wazayamanisa ngesivumelwano noYehoram wakwaIsrayeli,umalumewakhe.AN 214.2

    UAhaziya wakwaYuda wakhawuleza wahlangana nesiphelo esiyingozi. Abangamalungu aseleyo endlu ka-Ahabhi, ngokwenene, “babengabacebisi bakhe bona emva kokufa kukayise bemonakalisa.” 2 IZikronike 22:3, 4. Ngexesha uAhaziya etyelele uninalume eYizereli, umprofeti uElisha wayalelwa lizulu ukuba athumele omnye woonyana babaprofeti eRamoti-giliyadi ukuba athambise uYehu abe ngukumkani wakwaIsrayeli. Imikhosi ehlangeneyo yakwaYuda nakwaIsrayeli ngelo xesha yayisemfazweni namaSiriya aseRamoti-giliyadi. UYehoram wayelinyazwe edabini, waza wabuyela eYizereli, emshiya uYehu ejonge imikhosi yasebukhosini.AN 214.3

    Ekumthambiseni uYehu, umthunywa kaElisha wathi, “Ndikuthambisile ukuba ube ngukumkani kubantu bakaYehova, kumaIsrayeli.” Emva koko, ngokundilisekileyo, wamnika uYehu umyalelo owodwa ovela ezulwini. “Woyixabela indlu ka-Ahabhi inkosi yakho,” watsho uYehova ngomthunywawaKhe, “ndiwaphindezele amagaziabakhonzibonke bakaYehova, esandleni sikaIzebhele. Idake yonke indlu ka-Ahabhi.”2 Kumkani 9:6-8.AN 214.4

    Emva kokuba ebekwe wangukumkani ngumkhosi, uYehu waqala ukwenza umsebenzi wokubulala abo bazikhethela ukuqhubeka esonweni nokukhokelela abanye esonweni. UYehoram wakwaIsrayeli, uAhaziya wakwaYuda, noIzebhele umama ongukumkanikazi, nabo “bonke abaseleyo bendlu ka-Ahabhi eYizereli, nezikhulu zakhe zonke, nabazana naye, nababingeleli bakhe” babulawa. “Bonke abaprofeti bakaBhahali, nababingeleli bakhe bonke” ababehlala embindini wonqulo lukaBhahali kufuphi neSamari, badliwa likrele. Imifanekiso yonqulo lwezithixo yaqhekezwa yatshiswa, yaza itempile kaBhahali yawiswa yazindonga. “UYehu wamtshabalalisa ke uBhahali kwaIsrayeli.” 2 Kumkani 10:11, 19, 28.AN 215.1
