    5—UKayin NoAbheli Bevavanywa

    UKayin noAbheli, oonyana baka-Adam, bahlukana kakhulu ngesimilo.     Aba bazalwana babini, bakha izibingelelo ezifanayo, waza elowo weza nomnikelo. UAbheli wanikela umbingelelo ophuma emhlambini, ngokomyalelo kaYehova. “Waza uYehova wambheka uAbheli nomnikelo wakhe.” Wehla umlilo ezulwini walidla idini. UKayin yena, engawunanzanga umyalelo kaYehova otsolileyo nocacileyo, wanikela kuphela umnikelo weziqhamo. Akuzange kubekhomqondisouphuma ezulwiniukubonisa ukuba wamkelekile. UAbheli wamcenga uwabo ukuba aye kuThixo ngendlela emiswe lizulu, kodwa izicengo zakhe zamenza uKayin ukuba aye ezimisela ngakumbi ukulandela intando yakhe.     UKayin weza phambi kukaThixo nokukrokra nokungakholwa entliziyweni yakhe ngokubhekisele kumbingelelo othenjisiweyo kwanokubaluleka kweminikelo yemibingelelo. Isipho sakhe sasingabonisi kuguquka esonweni. Weva ngathi, njengabaninzi kule mihla, kuya kuba kukuvuma ubuthakathaka ukulandela ngqo icebo elibekwe nguThixo, ukuxhoma usindiso lwakhe ngokupheleleyo kucamagusho loMsindisi othenjisiweyo. Wakhetha ukulandela indlela yokuxhomekeka kwisiqu sakhe. Wayeza kuza ngokwakhe ukulunga. Waye ngayi kuzisa mvana, ahlanganise igazi layo nomnikelo wakhe, kodwa wayeza kuza neziqhamo zakhe, isiqhamo sokusebenza kwakhe. Wawukhupha umnikelo wakhe njengenceba ayenzela uThixo, awayejonge ukuba ngawo angafumana ukunconywa lizulu. UKayin wathobela ngokwakha isibingelelo, wathobela ngokuzisa umbingelelo; kodwa wanikela inxenye yokuthobela. Into efunekayo, ekukwamkela ukuba uyamdinga uMhlawuleli, akazange ayenze.ANa 72.1

    Ngokubhekiselele ekuzalweni nemfundiso ngenkolo, aba bazalwana babelingana. Bobabini babengaboni, kwaye bobabini babewavuma amabango kaThixo ekumhlonipheni nasekumnquleni.     “Ngokholo uAbheli wasondeza kuye uThixo umbingelelo ogqithileyo kunokaKayin.” Hebhere 11:4. UAbheli wayibamba imithetho-siseko emikhulu yokuhlangulwa. Wazibona engumoni, wasibona isono nesohlwayo saso, ukufa, simi phakathi komphefumlo wakhe sokudlelana noThixo. Wazisa ixhoba elibuleweyo, ubomi obubingelelweyo, ngolo hlobo evuma amabango omthetho owaphulwayo. Ngegazi elaphalalayo, wayekhangele kumbingelelo wexesha elizayo, uKristu esifa emnqamlezweni eKhalvari; wathi ngokuthembela kucamagushelo olwenziwa apho, wangqinelwa ukuba ulilungisa, wamkelwa umnikelo wakhe.ANa 72.3

    UKayin wayenalo ithuba lokufunda nokwamkela ezi nyaniso njengoAbheli. Wayengelilo ixhoba lenjongo emkhethele bucala ngabom. Akanyulwanga umntakwabo ukuba amkelwe nguThixo, ngoku omnye esaliwa. UAbheli wakhetha ukholo nokuthobela; kuKayin yakukungakholwa nokuvukela. Kulapho ulele khona wonke umcimbi.ANa 72.4

    UKayin noAbheli bamele iindidi ezimbini eziya kubakho ehlabathini kude kuphele ixesha. Olunyeudidiluyazinikelaukubaluxhamle kumbingelelo wesono; olunye lukhetha ukuxhomekeka kokwalo ukulunga; okwalo ngumbingelelo ongenako ukulunga kokuthethelela kwezulu, ngenxa yoko awukwazi ukumenza umntu ukuba amkeleke kuThixo. Kungokulunga kukaYesu kuphela ekuthi ukwaphula kwethu umthetho kube nokuxolelwa. Abo baziva bengalidingi igazi likaKristu, abeva ngathi, ngeyabo imisebenzi, ngaphandle kobabalo lwezulu, banakho ukuzuza ukwamkelwa nguThixo, benza impazamo enye neyenziwa nguKayin. Ukuba abalamkeli igazi elihlambululayo, bahleli phantsi kokugwetywa. Awukho omnye umsindleko owenziweyo abanokuthi ngawo bakhululwe kubukhoboka besono.ANa 73.1

    Udidi lwabanquli olulandela umzekelo kaKayin luliqela elikhulu kakhulu ehlabathini; kuba phantse lonke unqulo olugwenxa lwakhelwe phezu komthetho-siseko ofanayo—wokuba umntu axhomekeke kwimizamo yakhe ukuba asindiswe. Abanye bathi, uluntu lunentswelo, ingekuko ukuhlangulwa, kodwa eyokukhula, ukuze lukwazi ukusulungekisa, luphakamise, luzenze ukuba luhlaziyeke ngokutsha. Njengoko uKayin wacinga ukuzithandisa kuThixo ngomnikelo owawungenalo igazi lombingelelo, benza njalo naba ukulindela ukuphakamisa uluntu lube kumgangatho wezulu, ngaphandle kokuxhomekeka kucamagushelo. UKristu nguye kuphela ithemba lethu. “Akukho gama limbi phantsi kwezulu, linikiweyo phakathi kwabantu, esimele ukusindiswa ngalo.” “Kananjalo usindiso alukho kuwumbi.” Zenzo 4:12.ANa 73.2

    Wathi uKayin akubona ukuba umnikelo wakhe awamkelwanga, wanomsindo ngakuYehova nakuAbheli; wanomsindo kuba uThixo engamkelanga oko umntu akubeke endaweni yombingelelo omiselwe lizulu, wanomsindo ngakumntakwabo kuba yena ekhethe ukuthobela uThixo endaweni yokuzimanya naye ekumvukeleni (uThixo). Sele ewutyeshele uKayin umyalelo ongcwele, uThixo akazange amshiye yedwa; waya wehla ukuba abonisane nomntu owazibonisa ukuba yena akacingi. Wathi uYehova kuKayin, “Yinina ukuba uqumbe, yinina ukuba busangane ubuso bakho?” Ngesithunywa sezulu, kwathunyelwa isilumkiso sezulu: “Ukuba ubulungisile, ngewamkelekile; kodwa ke, kuba wenze ububi, isono sesikungxangele emnyango.” (IBHAYIBHILE). Ukukhetha kwakulele kuye uKayin. Ukuba waye nokuthemba ubuhle besithembiso soMsindisi, aze athobele okufunwa nguThixo, wayeya kuthandwa nguThixo. Ukuba ke wayeza kuqhubeka nokungakholwa nokwaphula umthetho, wayengayi kuba namhlaba wakukhalaza kuba aliwe nguYehova.ANa 74.1

    Endaweni yokuvuma isono sakhe, uKayin waqhubeka nokukhalazela ukungabi nabulungisa kukaThixo, nokuba nomona nentiyo ngakuAbheli. Waya wamgculela enomsindo umntakwabo, wazama ukumtsala ukuba enze uqhushululu ngendlela uThixo abaphethe ngayo. Ngokuzithoba, kodwa ngaphandle koloyiko ekwaqinile, uAbheli wabukhusela ubulungisa kunye nokulunga kukaThixo. Wambonisa uKayin imposiso yakhe, wazama ukumoyisela ukuba abone ukuba imposiso yayikuye (uKayin). Wambonisa imfesane kaThixo ngokugcina ubomi babazali babo ngexesha ekwakufuneka ebohlwaye ngokufa okukhawulezileyo, wabethelela ukuba uThixo wabathanda, okanye ngewayengazanga wanikela ngoNyana waKhe, omsulwa nongcwele, ukuba athwale isigwebo esasisesabo. Konke oku kwamenza wavutha ngakumbi uKayin. Ingqondo nesazela zamxelela ukuba uAbheli wayenyanisile; kodwa yamenza umsindo into yokuba, lowo ubemelwe kukuphulaphula elakhe icebiso asuke ngoku angavumelani naye, nokuba angabi namntu uvelana naye kuvukelo lwakhe. Ekuvutheni kwengqumbo yakhe, wasuka wambulala umntakwabo.ANa 74.2

    UKayin wamthiya waza wambulala umntakwabo, kungangakuba wayenze imposiso uAbheli, kodwa “ngokuba imisebenzi yakhe ibingendawo, ke yona eyomninawa wakhe ibinobulungisa.” 1 Yohane 3:12. Ngokunjalo kuzo zonke izizukulwana, abo bakhohlakeleyo babathiya abo babengcono kunabo. Ubomi buka-Abheli bokuthobela nokholo olungahexiyo zizinto ezaba sisigculelo esingapheliyo kuKayin. “Bonke abenza ububi, bayaluthiya ukhanyiso, bangezi elukhanyisweni, ukuze imisebenzi yabo ingohlwaywa.” Yohane 3:20. Okona kubengezela kakhulu ukukhanya kwabakhonzi bakaThixo abanyanisekileyo, okona zityhileka zize zicace ngakumbi izono zabo bangazani naThixo, nokuba kokona bezimisela ngakumbi ukwenza imizamo yokubatshabalalisa abo baphazamisa uxolo lwabo.ANa 75.1

    Ukubulawa kuka-Abheli kwaba ngumzekelo wokuqala wobutshaba awathi uThixo buya kubakho phakathi kwenyoka nembewu yomfazi—phakathi kukaSathana ehlangene nabantu abalawulayo kunye noKristu ehlangene nabalandeli baKhe. Ngesono somntu, uSathana wakuzuza ukulawula uluntu, kodwa uKristu wayeza kubenza ukuba babenakho ukuyilahla idyokhwe yakhe (uSathana). Ngalo lonke ixesha, ngokholo kuyo iMvana kaThixo, umphefumlo uyishiya inkonzo yesono, umsindo kaSathana uyavutha. Ubomi obungcwele buka-Abheli bangqina ngokuchaseneyo nebango likaSathana lokuba umntu akanakho ukuwugcinga umthetho kaThixo. UKayin, eqhutywa ngumoya wongendawo, wathi akubona ukuba akakwazi ukumlawula uAbheli, wanengqumbo eyamenza abutshabalalise ubomi bakhe. Ngalo lonke ixesha kukho ubani othi amele ukuxhasa ubulungisa bomthetho kaThixo, loo moya mnye uya kubonakala ukuba umchase. Ngulo moya owamisa izibonda (zokuxhoma) watshisa ezinkunini abafundi bakaKristu. Sezizonke iinkohlakalo ezibekwe phezu komlandeli kaYesu eziphenjelelwa nguSathana nemikhosi yakhe, azinako ukumnyanzela ukuba azinikele kulawulo lwabo. Yingqumbo yotshaba oloyisiweyo. Lonke ifela-nkolo likaYesu, lifa lingumoyisi. Uthi umprofeti, “Bameyisile [“inyoka yakudala, leyo kuthiwa ngumtyholi, uSathana ke”] ngenxa yegazi leMvana, nangenxa yelizwi lobungqina babo; abawuthandanga umphefumlo wabo, kwada kwasekufeni.” IsiTyhilelo 12:11, 9.ANa 77.1

    UKayin, umbulali, kwafuneka ephendule kwakamsinyane ngokwaphula kwakhe umthetho. “Wathi uYehova kuKayin, Uphi na uAbheli umninawa wakho? Wathi yena, Andazi; ndingumgcini womninawa wam, yini na?” UKayin wayengene kakhulu esonweni wada walahlekwa nayingqondo yokubona ubukho bukaThixo ohlala ekho kwanobukhulu nokwazi konke kwaKhe. Wabhenela ekuxokeni ukuzama ukufihla ubutyala bakhe.ANa 77.2

    Waphinda uYehova wathi kuKayin, “Wenze ntoni na? Izwi legazi lomninawa wakho liyakhala emhlabeni kum.” UThixo wayemnike ithuba uKayin ukuba avume isono sakhe. Wayenalo ithuba lokucinga. Wayebazi ukukhulu bento ayenzileyo, kunye nobuxoki abenzileyo ukuyifihla; kodwa wayese novukelo, saza asabi nakulityaziswa kwakhona isigwebo. Ilizwi elingcwele elaliviwe licenga lilumkisa, lavakalisa amazwi abuhlungu: “Ngoko uqalekisiwe emhlabeni, okhamise umlomo wawo ukuba ulithabathe igazi lomninawa wakho esandleni sakho. Xenikweni uwusebenzayo umhlaba, awusayi kuphinda ukunike amandla awo; uya kubhadula uphalaphale ehlabathini.”ANa 77.3

    Nangona uKayin wayefanelwe sisigwebo sokufa ngokwaphula kwakhe umthetho, uMdali onenceba waqhubeka nokubusindisa ubomi bakhe, wamnika ithuba lokuguquka. Noko kunjalo, uKayin waphilela ukuyenza lukhuni intliziyo yakhe, ukukhuthaza uvukelo ngakwigunya lezulu, nokuba yinkokeli yodederhu lwaboni abanesibindi lwabalahliweyo. Lo mkreqi uyedwa, ekhokelwa kuphela nguSathana, waba ngumhendi kwabanye; ngomzekelo nempembelelo yakhe awayisebenzisayo ukutyhafisa amandla abo, wonke umhlaba wonakala kakhulu, wazaliswa bubundlobongela obuwuzisela ukutshatyalaliswa.ANa 78.1

    Ekusindiseni ubomi bombulali wokuqala, uThixo wandlala phambi kweyunivesi yonke isifundo esinento yokwenza nembambano enkulu. Imbali emnyama kaKayin kunye nenzala yakhe yaba sisibonakaliso sento ekwakuya kuba yiyo ukuvumela ukuba umoni aphile ngonaphakade. Ukunyamezela kukaThixo kuye kwabenza abakhohlakeleyo ukuba baqine ngakumbi babe nendelelo edlulileyo besebugwenxeni babo. Ishumi elinesihlanu leenkulungwane emva kokuvakaliswa kwesigwebo phezu kukaKayin, iyunivesi yasibona isiphumo sempembelelo nomzekelo wakhe, ekwaphuleni komthetho nasekungcoleni okwazalisa umhlaba. Kwenziwa kwacaca ukuba isigwebo sokufa esanikwa uhlanga oluwileyo ngenxa yokwaphulwa komthetho kaThixo sasilungile sinenceba. Okona abantu baya bahlala ixesha elide esonweni, okona baya beba ngabalahleke ngakumbi. Isigwebo sezulu ngokwenza bufutshane ubomi bobugwenxa obuqhawuke umkhala, nesikhulula ihlabathi kwimpembelelo yabo baya baqina ekuvukeleni, saba yintsikelelo endaweni yokuba sisiqalekiso.ANa 78.2

    USathana uhleli esebenza, ngamandla amakhulu ngeendlela ezingamawaka okuzifihla, ukuveza ngenye imo isimilo nolawulo lukaThixo. Ngamacebo amaninzi naqulunqwe kakuhle ngokwenene kunye namandla amangalisayo, wenza umsebenzi wokubabamba abemi bomhlaba phantsi kwenkohliso yakhe. UThixo, Ongenasiphelo, nonabo bonke ubulumko, ubona isiphelo kwasekuqaleni, aze athi ukusebenza kwaKhe nabenzi bobubi, amacebo aKhe afikelele kude, kwaye ephelele. Yayiyinjongo yaKhe, hayi ukuluphelisa uvukelo, kodwa ukubonakalalisa kuyo yonke iyunivesi, indalo yovukelo. Icebo likaThixo lalityhileka, libonisa ubulungisa baKhe kunye nenceba yaKhe, lithethelela ngokupheleleyo ubulumko baKhe nobulungisa ekuphatheni kwaKhe inkohlakalo.ANa 78.3

    Abemi abangcwele bamanye amazwe babebukele ngomdla omkhulu iziganeko ezazisenzeka emhlabeni. Kwimeko eyayikho phambikukaNogumbe, babona kubonakaliswaiziphumo zolawulo uKhwezi awayezama ukulumisa ezulwini, xa wayesala igunya likaKristu nokulahlela kude umthetho kaThixo. Kwabo bantu babengaboni abaqinileyo belizwe laphambi kukaNogumbe, babona abantu abaphantsi kwegunya likaSathana. Iingcinga zeentliziyo zabantu zazibububi bodwa ngamaxesha onke. Genesis 6:5. Yonke imizwa, konke ukubetha kwentliziyo neengcinga, kwakusedabini nemithetho-siseko yezulu yobunyulu, noxolo nothando. Yayingumzekelo ombi wokuhla komgangatho wokuziphatha, wesiphumo somthetho kaSathana wokususa kwizidalwa zikaThixo ukulawulwa ngomthetho waKhe ongcwele.ANa 79.1

    Ngokweenyaniso ezityhilwa kukuhambela phambili kwembambano enkulu, uThixo uza kubonakalisa imithetho yolawulo lwaKhe, aye waxoka ngalo uSathana nabo bonke athe wabakhohlisa. Ubulungisa bakhe, ekugqibeleni buya kuvunywa lilizwe lonke, nangona ukubuvuma kuya kuba sekusemva kakhulu ukuba kungabasindisa abanovukelo. Iyunivesi yonke inika uvelwano nokwamkela uThixo, njengoko inyathelo ngalinye lecebo laKhe elikhulu libheka phambili ekufezekeni ngokupheleleyo. (Olu velwano nolwamkelo) uya kuluthwala kuse ekuphelisweni kovukelo. Kuya kucaca ukuba, bonke abayishiyileyo imiyalelo engcwele, bazibeke kwicala likaSathana, kwidabi lokuchasa uKristu.
