    Ngelo xesha, uYosefu nabathimbi bakhe babesendleleni esinga eYiputa.     Noko kunjalo, ngokwazelelela kukaThixo, nala amava ayeza kuba yintsikelelo kuye. Wayefunde ngeeyure ezimbalwa oko iminyaka yayingenakho ukumfundisa.     Ngelo xesha iingcinga zakhe zabuyela kuThixo kayise. Ebuntwaneni bakhe wayefundiswe ukumthanda nokumoyika. Rhoqo kwintente kayise, wayekholisa ukuphulaphula ibali lombono owabonwa nguYakobi xa wayebaleka kwikhaya lakhe esiya elubhacweni nokuba sisibhadubhadu. Wayexelelwa ngezithembiso zikaYehova kuYakobi, nangendlela ezazaliseka ngayo, indlela, ekwathingexesha lentswelo, iingelosi zikaThixo zafika ukuza kumfundisa, ukumthuthuzela, nokumkhusela. Wayekwafunde ngothando lukaThixo ekubekeleni abantu uMhlanguli. Ngoku, zonke ezi zifundo zixabisekileyo zathi thaa phambi kwakhe. UYosefu wakholwa ukuba uThixo wooyise uya kuba nguThixo wakhe.     Umphefumlo wakhe waba novuyo sisigqibo esikhulu sokuba azibonakalise enyanisekile kuThixo, phantsi kwazo zonke iimeko aziphathe njengophantsi koKumkani wezulu. Wayeza kumkhonza uYehova ngentliziyo epheleleyo; wayeza kuqubisana nezilingo ezifanele abakule meko yakhe, ngesibindi, enze wonke umsebenzi wakhe ngokunyaniseka.     “UYehova waba naye uYosefu, waba yindoda enempumelelo; . . . Yabona inkosi yakhe ukuba uYehova unaye, ukuba zonke izinto abezenza zibe nempumelelo esandleni sakhe.” Ukumthemba kukaPotifaro uYosefu kwaya kukhula imihla ngemihla, waza ekugqibeleni wamnyusela ukuba abe ligosa, alawule ngokupheleleyo zonke izinto abe enazo. “Zonke izinto ebinazo yaziyekela esandleni sikaYosefu, ayakhathalela nanye into ebikuye, ingesiso isonka esidlayo.”ANa 214.3

    Ekuqaleni uYosefu waphathwa kakubi kakhulu ngabagcini bamabanjwa. UMdumisi uthi, “Bazicinezela iinyawo zakhe ngamakhamandela, wafika umphefumlo wakhe esinyithini; kwada kwalixesha lokufika kwelizwi lakhe, intetho kaYehova yamnyibilikisa.” Ndumiso 105:18, 19. Entolongweni, ebona iziphumo zengcinezelo, zembandezelo, neziqhamo zolwaphulo-mthetho, waba nezifundo azifundayo ngobulungisa, uvelwano, nenceba, ezaya zamlungiselela ukusebenzisa igunya ngobulumko nangovelwano.ANa 218.2

    UYosefu waya efumana ukuthenjwa ngumgcini wentolongo, ekugqibeleni wenziwa ukuba ajongane nawo onke amabanjwa. Kwakungenxa yento awayeyenza entolongweni, ukunyaniseka kobomi bakhe bemihla ngemihla novelwano lwakhe kwabo babejongene nenkathazo noxinzelelo, olwamvulela indlela yempumelelo nokuhlonitshwa kwixesha elizayo.     Intloko yomoji wezonka kunye nentloko engumngcamli bakakumkani babefakwe entolongweni ngenxa yokona okuthile baza baphantsi kolawulo lukaYosefu.     Umngcamli kakumkani waba nombulelo omkhulu kakhulu kuYosefu, ngenkcazo evuyisayo yephupha lakhe kwakunye nezenzo ezininzi zokumjonga ngobubele; ekuphenduleni kwakhe yena [uYosefu], ethetha ngendlela echukumisayo ngokwakhe ukubanjwa okungenabulungisa, wacenga ukuba umcimbi wakhe ubekwe phambi kukakumkani. “Uze undikhumbule ke,” watsho, “wakulungelwa, undenzele inceba, undikhankanye kuFaro, undikhuphe kule ndlu; ngokuba inene ndabiwa ezweni lamaHebhere, nalapha andenzanga nto, ukuba bandifake emhadini.” Umngcamli oyintloko walibona lizaliseka iphupha kwiinkalo zonke; kodwa wathi akubuyiselwa ekuthandweni kwakomkhulu, akabuye acinge ngalowo wamenzela okuhle. Wahlala eminye iminyaka emibini elibanjwa uYosefu. Ithemba elaliphenjwe entliziyweni yakhe laya lisifa ngokufa, kwathi, kuzo zonke izilingo, kongezeka ukubethwa ngolwamvila olukrakra lokungabi nambulelo.ANa 219.2

    Isandla sezulu kwakukufuphi ukuba sivule amasango entolongo. Ukumkani waseYiputa waba namaphupha amabini ngobusuku obunye, ekhangeleka ejonge kwisiganeko esinye kwaye kubonakala ukuba abonisa intlekele enkulu. Akazange akwazi ukuxela ukuba abaluleke ngantoni, kodwa aqhubeka nokuyikhathaza ingqondo yakhe. Iinkunkqele ezinobugqi namadoda azizilumko ombuso wakhe awazange akwazi ukunika inkcazo. Kwaya kukhula ukudideka nokukhathazeka kukumkani, kwakho uloyiko kubo bonke kwibhotwe lakhe. Unxunguphalo kumntu wonke lwazisa kwinkumbulo yomngcamli oyintloko iimeko zelakhe iphupha; kwathi qatha uYosefu, kwathi xhokro nokuzisola ngokumlibala nokungabi nambulelo kwakhe. Kwangoko waxelela ukumkani indlela elakhe iphupha kunye nelomoji wezonka oyintlokoawachazwangayongumbanjwawomHebhere, nendlela ezazaliseka ngayo ezo zinto zazixeliwe ngenx’ engaphambili.ANa 219.3

    Kwakumthoba isidima uFaro ukuyeka oosiyazi nezilumko zobukumkani bakhe ayokufuna icebo kumntu wasemzini olikhoboka, kodwa wayekulungele ukwamkela neyona nkonzo iphantsi ukuba nje ingqondo yakhe ekhathazekileyo ingafumana ukukhululeka. Kwathunyelwa ngokukhawuleza ukuba uYosefu eze; wakhulula impahla yakhe yasentolongweni, wazicheba, kuba iinwele zakhe zazikhule zabande ngexesha lokuhlaziswa nokuvalelwa kwakhe. Wasiwa phambi kukakumkani.ANa 220.1

    “Wathi uFaro kuYosefu, Ndiphuphe iphupha akukho bani unokulityhila; mna ndive kusithiwa ngawe, uyaliva iphupha ulityhile. UYosefu wamphendula u“Faro, esithi, Akunam; uThixo uyakuphendula into yokumsindisa uFaro.” Impendulo kaYosefu kukumkani ityhila ukuthobeka nokholo lwakhe kuThixo. Wathi ngentlonipho, wayilandula imbeko yokuba yena unobulumko obukhulu. “Akunam.” NguThixo kuphela onokuzichaza ezi mfihlelo.ANa 220.2

    Waqhubeka ke uFaro nokuchaza iphupha lakhe: “Yabona, bendimi elunxwemeni lomlambo; nanko kunyuka, kuphuma emlanjeni, amathokazi asixhenxe etyebile, emahle, esidla engcotyeni; nanko, kunyuka kuphuma amanye amathokazi asixhenxe emva kwawo, ebhityile, emabi kakhulu, engamarhoqorhoqo, endingazanga ndibone anjalo kulo lonke ilizwe laseYiputa, ukuba mabi kwawo; amathokazi angamarhoqorhoqo, amabi awadla awokuqala amathokazi asixhenxe atyebileyo; angena embilinini wawo akwazeka ukuba angenile embilinini wawo, imbonakalo yawo yambi, njengasekuqaleni. Ndaphaphama. Ndabona ephupheni lam, izikhwebu ezisixhenxe ziphuma micingeni mnye, zichumile, zilungile; nanzo, izikhwebu ezisixhenxe zishwabene, zingcakacile, zitshile lulophu lwasempumalanga, zihluma emva kwazo. Zesuka izikhwebu ezingcakacileyo, zaziginya izikhwebu ezisixhenxe ezilungileyo. Ndathetha nezazi; akukho bani kuzo undixelelayo.”ANa 220.3

    “Iphupha likaFaro linye,” watsho uYosefu. “UThixo umxelele uFaro oko ayakukwenza.” Kwakuza kubakho iminyaka esixhenxe yendyebo enkulu. Amasimi nezitiya zaziza kuchuma kakhulu kunangaphambili. Eli xesha laye liza kulandelwa yiminyaka esixhenxe yendlala. “Ingaziwa indyebo elizweni, ngenxa yaloo ndlala iya kubakho emva kwayo, kuba iya kuba nzima kunene.” Ukuphindwa kwephupha kwakubonisa kokubini, ukuqiniseka nokusondela kokuzaliseka. “Ngoko,” waqhubeka, “uFaromakakhangeleindodaeyingqondi, esisilumko, ayimise phezu kwelizwelaseYiputa.Makenzele ntouFaro,alimiseleabaveleli ilizwe, athabathe isihlanu selizwe laseYiputa ngeminyaka yosixhenxe yendyebo. Mababuthe konke ukudla kwaloo minyaka ilungileyo izayo, bafumbe ingqolowa phantsi kwesandla sikaFaro, ibe kukudla emizini, bayigcine; oko kudla kube yinto ebekelwe ilizwe iminyaka yosixhenxe yendlala, eya kubakho ezweni laseYiputa, lingatshabalali yindlala.”ANa 220.4

    Ukuchazwa [kwamaphupha] kwakuvakala kwaye kuvumelana, nomthetho owawucetyiswa wawunengqondo nobulumko, kangangokuba ukulunga kwawo kwakungathandabuzeki. Phofu ke, ngubani ekwakunokuyekelwa kuye ukuba alenze icebo eli? Kubulumko bokumkhetha lowo, kwakuxhomekeke ukulondolozwa kwesizwe. Ukumkani wayekhathazekile. Kwaba lithuba umcimbi wokunyula uqwalaselwe. Kumngcamli oyintloko, ukumkani weva ngobulumko nobunkunkqele obabonakaliswa nguYosefu ekuphatheni intolongo; kwakucacile ukuba unaso isakhono ngendlela emangalisayo. Umngcamli, ezaliswe kukuzohlwaya, wazama ukulungisa ukungabi nambulelo kwakhe kwangaphambili, ngokuncoma kakhulu lowo wayemncedile; kwaza ukuphanda ngakumbi kukakumkani kwabubonisa ubunyaniso bengxelo yakhe [umngcamli]. Kubo bonke ubukumkani, uYosefu wayekuphela komntu onesipho sobulumko bokwalatha ingozi obabujongene nayo ubukumkani kwakunye nokulungiselela okwakufuneka ukuhlangabezana nayo; waza woyisakala ukumkani ukuba nguye owayefaneleke kakhulu ukuba awenze amacebo awayewandlalile. Kwakucacile ukuba igunya lasezulwini lalinaye, nokuba wayengekho kumagosa kakumkani owayefaneleke kangako ukuba angenza imicimbi yesizwe kule ngxubakaxaka.     Kwathatyathwa isigqibo ngokunyulwa kukaYosefu, kwaza kwaxelwa kuYosefu isaziso esothusayo, “Ekubeni uThixo ekwazisile konke oku, akukho bani uyingqondi, usisilumko, njengawe. Uya kuba phezu kwendlu yam wena, bawuthobele umlomo wakho bonke abantu bam; kusetroneni yodwa endiya kuba mkhulu kuwe.” Ukumkani waqhubeka ukumwonga uYosefu ngomsesane wesikhundla sakhe esiphezulu. “Wawukhulula uFaro umsesane wakhe esandleni sakhe, wawufaka esandleni sikaYosefu, wamambathisa iingubo zelinen ecikizekileyo, wanxiba umxokelelwane wegolide entanyeni yakhe. Wamkhwelisa enqweleni yesibini abenayo, kwamenyezwa phambi kwakhe, kwathiwa, Guqani!”ANa 221.2

    “Wamenza inkosi yendlu yakhe, umlawuli wemfuyo yakhe yonke, ukuba abakhonkxe abathetheli bakhe ngokuzithandela kwakhe, amadoda akhe amakhulu awafundise ubulumko.” Ndumiso 105:21, 22. Ukuphuma emhadini, uYosefu waphakanyiswa ukuba abe ngumlawuli phezu kwalo lonke ilizwe laseYiputa. Yayisisikhundla sembeko esiphezulu, kanti ke sasizele bubunzima nobunzithinzithi. Umntu akakwazi ukuma kwindawo ephakamileyo ngaphandle kwengozi. Njengokuba isaqhwithi siyishiya ingenzekanga nto intyatyambo ephantsi entilini, ngoku incothula neengcambu umthi owomeleleyo omkhulu encotsheni yentaba, kunjalo kwabo bathe bakugcina ukuthembeka kwabo kubomi obuthobekileyo, ukutsalelwa phantsi emhadini zizihendo ezihlasela impumelelo nembeko yasemhlabeni.
