    15—Esidlweni Somtshato

    [Esi sahluko sisekwe kuYohane 2:1-11.]

    UYesu akazange awuqale umsebenzi awayewuzele ngokwenza into enkulu phambi kweSanhedrin eYerusalem. Kumhlangano wasekhaya kwilalana encinane yaseGalili, amandla aKhe asetyenziswa ukongeza uvuyo esidlweni somtshato. Ngaloo ndlela wabonisa uvelwano nabantu, nolangazelelo lwaKhe lokulungiselela kulonwabo lwabo. Ekulingweni kwaKhe entlango, yena ngokwaKhe wayisela indebe yosizi. Wayeze ukuze anike abantu indebe yentsikelelo, ngokusikelela kwaKhe akungcwalise ukuqhelana nobomi babantu.ULw 144.1

    Ukusuka eYordan, uYesu wabuyela eGalili. Kwakuza kubakho umsitho eKana, idolophana encinane engekude eNazarete; baye abatshati babezizihlobo zikaYosefu noMariya; waza uYesu, esazi ngalo mhlangano wosapho, waya eKana, wathi, ekunye nabafundi baKhe, bamenyelwa esidlweni. ULw 144.2

    Waphinda wahlangana nonina, ekwakulithuba wahlukanayo naye. UMariya wayevile ngoko kwabonakala eYordan, ekubhaptizweni kwaKhe. Iindaba zayakufikelela eNazarete, zaza zavuselela kuye (uMariya) imibono eyayikade ifihlakele entliziyweni yakhe. Ngokufanayo naye wonke uIsrayeli, uMariya wayechukumiseke kakhulu ngumsebenzi kaYohane umBhaptizi. Wasikhumbula kakuhle isiprofeto esanikwaekuzalweni kwakhe. Ngokuukuqhagamshelana kwakhe noYesu kwawavuselela amathemba wakhe ngokutsha. Zona iindaba zazifikile kuye zokumka ngokufihlakeleyo kukaYesu ukuya entlango, waza wacinezelwa kukulindela okwakumhlupha.ULw 144.3

    Kususela mhla weva isaziso sengelosi ekhayeni eNazarete uMariya wazigcina zonke izibonakaliso zokuba uYesu unguMesiya. Ubomi baKhe obumnandi nobungenamona bamqinisekisa ukuba akakwazi ukuba ngomnye ngaphandle kokuba ngOthunyiweyo kaThixo. Kanti kwafika kwakuye iintandabuzo nokudaniswa, waza walindela ixesha xa uzuko lwaKhe luya kutyhilwa. Ukufa kwakumahlule noYosefu, owayesabelana naye ngolwazi lwemfihlakalo yokuzalwa kukaYesu.     Emsithweni uhlangana naYe, esengunyana onothando nokhutheleyo. Kanti ke, wayengasenguye. Imbonakalo yaKhe yayiguqukile. Ineempawu zedabi laKhe lasentlango, nembonakalo entsha yokundiliseka kunye namandla anika imbonakalo yomsebenzi wezulu awuthunyiweyo. Kunye naYe, kwakukho iqela lamadodana, amehlo wawo ayemlandela ngentlonipho, nelalimbiza ngokuthi uyiNkosi. La maqabane ambalisela uMariya oko akubonayo akuva ekubhaptizweni nakwezinye iindawo. Baphetha ngelithi, “Lowo uMoses wabhala ngaye emthethweni, kwanabaprofeti, simfumene” Yohane 1:45.ULw 145.2

    Njengokuba abamenywa babehlangana, abaninzi babexakeke ziincoko ezenza umdla omkhulu. Umoya wochulumanco wathi ndii kulo lonke iqela. Amaqela amancinane ahlangana ethetha ngamazwi alindele okukhulu kodwa ephantsi, kumana kukrwaqulwa ngokumangalisiweyo kuNyana kaMariya. Njengoko uMariya wayebuvile ubungqina babafundi ngokubhekiselele kuYesu, yena wayevuyiswa kukuqinisekiswa ukuba, amathemba awayekade enawo ayengelilo ilize. Kanti ke, wayeyakuba ungaphaya kokuba ngumntu xa bekungakhange kuhlangane, kolu vuyo lungcwele, umda wekratshi lendalo likamama onothando. Xa wayebona ukukrwaqulwa kukaYesu ngabaninzi, walangazelela ukuba abonise kweli qela ukuba ngokwenene wayenguLowo uzukusiweyo nguThixo. Wathemba ukuba liya kubakho ithuba laKhe lokuba enze ummangaliso phambi kwabo.ULw 145.3

    Yayilisiko lelo xesha ukuba isiyunguma somtshato siqhube iqela leentsuku. Kwesi isiganeko, phambi kokuba isidlo siphele, kwafumaniseka ukuba iwayini ebilungisiwe iphelile. Kuko kokubini, esidlweni nalapha emnqamlezweni, uthando olwaboniswayo ngelizwi nangokukhangela nangendlela yokuthetha yanika intsingiselo kumazwi aKhe.ULw 146.2

    Ekutyeleleni kwaKhe etempileni eseyinkwenkwana, ukuvuleka kwemfihlakalo yomsebenzi waKhe phambi kwaKhe, uKristu wayethekuMariya, “Beningazi na ukuba ndimelwe kukuba ndibe semicimbini kaBawo?” Luka 2:49. La mazwi ayesisiqalo sabo bonke ubomi baKhe nomsebenzi waKhe. Yonke into engomsebenzi waKhe omkhulu wokuhlangula awayezele ukuba awufeze emhlabeni yayisathe xha. Ngoku wasiphinda isifundo. Yayikho ingozi yokuba uMariya angaluthabatha ulwalamano lwakhe noYesu njengolumnika ilungelo lokuba abe nebango elilodwa kuYe, nelungelo lokumlawula kangangoko, emsebenzini waKhe. Iminyaka engamashumi amathathu wayesoloko engunyana onothando nothobelayo, lwaye uthando lwaKhe lwalungatshintshanga; kodwa ngoku kufuneka axakeke ngumsebenzi kaYise. NjengoNyana wOsenyangweni, ekwanguMsindisi wehlabathi, amaqhina asemhlabeni kwakungafuneki amphazamise koko wayezele kona, okanye abe nempembelelo ekuziphatheni kwaKhe. Kufuneka akhululeke ukuba enze intando kaThixo. Nakuthi sonke, sisifundo esi. Amabango kaThixo ahamba phambili nakulwalamano lwethu lobuntu. Akukho nto inomtsalane emhlabeni ekufuneka izijike iinyawo zethu kwindlela esiyalelwe ukuba siyihambe [nguThixo].ULw 147.1

    Ithemba ekukuphela kwalo lokuhlangulwa kohlanga lwethu oluwileyo likuKristu; uMariya wayeza kulufumana usindiso kuphela ngeMvana kaThixo. Yena ngokwakhe wayengenako okuhle. Uqhagamshelano noYesu lwalungambekanga kulwalamano olwahlukileyo kwabanye abantu ngokwasemoyeni. Oku kubonakalaliswa emazwini oMsindisi. Uwubeke wacaca umahluko phakathi kokuhlobana kwaKhe naye enguNyana womntu nanjengoNyana kaThixo. Iqhina lokuzalana phakathi kwabo alimbeki nakanjani (uMariya) kwindawo yokuba alingane naYe.ULw 147.2

    Amazwi athi, “Alikafiki ilixa lam,” alatha kwinto yokuba sonke isenzo sobomi bukaKristu emhlabeni sasikukuzalisekisa icebo elalikho kwakwimihla yasephakadeni. Ngaphambi kokuba eze emhlabeni icebo lalanekiwe phambi kwaKhe, ligqibelele ngazo zonke iinkcukacha. Ehamba nje Yena phakathi kwabantu, wayekhokelwa kuwo wonke amanyathelo aKhe yintando kaYise. Akazange azizilize ukusebenza ngexesha elililo. Ngokuzinikela okunye, walindela ukuba lide lifike ixesha.ULw 147.3

    Xa wayesithi kuMariya ilixa alikafiki, uYesu wayephendula kwingcinga yakhe angayithethanga,--ukulindela awayesoloko enako ekunye nabanye abantu aqhelene nabo. Wayethembe ukuba uya kuziveza ukuba unguMesiya, athabathele kuYe itrone kaIsrayeli. Lalingekafiki kodwa lona ixesha. UYesu wayamkela indawoyaKhe yobuntu, hayi njengoKumkani, kodwa “[njenge]Ndoda enomvandedwa, eqhelene nesifo.”ULw 147.4

    Nangona uMariya wayengenalwazi lululo ngomsebenzi aze ngenxa yawo uKristu, wayemthembile ngokupheleleyo. UYesu wanika impendulo kolu kholo. Yayikukuhlonipha ukuthemba kukaMariya, nokomeleza ukholo lwabafundi baKhe, okwenza ukuba enze ummangaliso wokuqala. Abafundi babeza kuhlangana nezihendo ezininzinezikhuluukubenzaukubabangakholwa.Kubo iziprofeto zakwenza kwacaca ngaphezu kwayo yonke impikiswano ukuba uYesu wayenguye uMesiya. Balindela ukuba iinkokheli zenkolo zimamkele ngamandla nangaphezu kokwabo [ukumamkela]. Bayivakalisa ebantwini imisebenzi emangalisayo kaKristu kwakunye nokwabo ukuwuthemba umsebenzi aze ukuba awenze, kodwa babe khwankqisiwe bedane kakhulu kukungakholwa, nokugweba okunzulu, kunye nobutshaba ngakuYesu, okwabonakalaliswa ngababingeleli noorhabhi. Imimangaliso yokuqala yoMsindisi yabanika amandla abafundi ukuba bamelane nale nkcaso.ULw 147.5

    Engaphazanyiswanga konke ngamazwi kaYesu, uMariya wathi kwabo babesebenza ezitafileni, “Asukuba ekuthetha kuni, kwenzeni.” Ngoko ke wenza oko anako ukulungisa indlela yomsebenzi kaKristu. ULw 148.1

    Ngasemnyango kwakumi iingqayi zamatye ezintandathu, waza uYesu wayalela abasebenzi ukuba bazizalise ngamanzi. Kwenziwa oko. Kwathi ke kuba iwayini yayifuneka ukuba isetyenziswe kwangoko, wathi, “Yikhani ngoku, nise kwinjoli.” Endaweni yamanzi ezazizaliswe ngawo iingqayi, kwaphuma iwayini. Umphathi womsitho nabamenywa babengazange baqonde ukuba iwayini yayiphelile. Bathi kodwa bakungcamla le yaziswa zizicaka, umphathi wayifumanisa ukuba ingaphezulu kunaleyo yayiselwe ngaphambili, yahluke kakhulu kuleyo yayinikwe abantu ekuqalekeni kwesidlo. Wajika wakhangela kumyeni, wathi, “Wonke umntu ubeka kuqala iwayini emnandi, aze xa bathe basela bakholisa, andule ukubeka enganeno kwaleyo; wena uyibandezile iwayini emnandi, kwada kwangoku.”ULw 148.2

    Njengokuba abantu babekhupha kuqala eyona wayini imnandi, baze emva koko bakhuphe embi, lenza njalo ihlabathi ngezalo izipho. Oko likunikayo kunokulikholisa iliso lizithabathekise izivo, kodwa zibonakala zinganelisi. Iwayini ijika ibe bubukrakra, amatheko obumnyama. Oko kuthi kuqalwe ngomculo nokuchwayita kuphela ngokudinwa nehlazo. Zona izipho zikaYesu zihlala zihlaziyekile zizitsha. Isipho ngasinye esitsha sandisa isakhono salowo usamkelayo ukuba azixabise azonwabele iintsikelelo zeNkosi. [INkosi] inika ubabalo phezu kobabalo. Akaze aphele uvimba. Ukuba uhlala kuYe, into yokuba uzuza isipho esityebileyo namhlanje, iqinisekisa ukuzuza esingaphezulu ngomso. Amazwi kaYesu kuNathaniyeli abonisa umthetho wendlela uThixo abaphatha ngayo abantwana bokholo. Kuko konke ukutyhilwa okutsha kothando lwaKhe, uthi kwintliziyo eyamkelayo, “Uyakholwa na? Uya kubona izinto ezingaphezulu kwezo.” Yohane 1:50.ULw 148.3

    Isipho sikaKristu emsithweni sasingumfuziselo. Amanzi ayemele ukubhaptizelwa ekufeni kwaKhe; iwayini, ukuphalala kwegazi laKhe ngenxa yezono zehlabathi. Amanzi awazalisa imiphanda ayeziswe zizandla zabantu, kodwa lilizwi likaKristu kuphela elalinokuwenza ukuba anike ubomi. Kunjalo ngeenkonzo ezalatha ekufeni koMsindisi. Kuphela ngamandla kaKristu, asebenza ngokholo, ezithi zibe nesakhono sokuwondla umphefumlo.ULw 149.1

    Ilizwi likaKristu lenza kwabakho ulungiselelo olwaneleyo esidlweni. Lwabalukhulu kakhulu ulungiselelo lobabalo lwaKhe kangangokuba lubucime ubugwenxa babantu, nokuba luwuhlaziye luwuxhase umphefumlo.ULw 149.2

    Esidlweni sokuqala awayeye kuso nabafundi baKhe, uYesu wabanika indebe engumfuziselo womsebenzi waKhe wokusindiswa kwabo. Kwesokugqibela isidlo sangokuhlwa, waphinda wayinika, ekumiselweni kwaloo nkonzo ingcwele ekwakuza kuboniswa ngayo ukufa kwaKhe “ide ifike.” 1 Kor. 11:26. Usizi lwabafundi ekwahlukaneni neNkosi yabo lwathuthuzelwa ngesithembiso sokubuya bahlangane, xa wayesithi, “Andisayi kusela kwesi siqhamo somdiliya, kuthabathela kweli xesha, kude kube yiloo mini sukuba ndisisela nani sisitsha ebukumkanini bukaBawo.” Mat. 26:29.ULw 149.3

    Iwayini uKristu awayinika esidlweni, naleyo wayinika abafundi baKhe ukuba ibe ngumfuziselo welilelaKhe igazi, yayiyincindi ehlambulukileyo yomdiliya. Umprofeti uIsaya ubhekisa kuyo xa ethetha ngewayini entsha “esihlokweni,” athi, “Musa ukusonakalisa, ngokuba kukho intsikelelo kuso.” Isa. 65:8.ULw 149.4

    YayinguKristu owanika isilumkiso kuIsrayeli kwiTestamente eNdala, “Ingumgxeki iwayini, singumxokozeli isiselo esinxilisayo; bonke abayotywe yiyo abalumkile.” Mizekeliso 20:1. Yena ngokwaKhe akazange wasenza isiselo esinjalo. USathana ubahenda abantu ngokuziyekela okumfamekisa ingqondo kudodobalise iimbono zabo zasemoyeni, kodwa uKristu ufundisa ukuba siyilawule imvelo yethu yasezantsi. Ubomi baKhe bonke babungumzekelo wokuzilandula. Ukuze awaphule amandla okuthanda ukutya, wathwala endaweni yethu olona luvavanyo lunzima olwalunokuthwalwa ngumntu. YayinguKristu owayalela ukuba uYohane umbhaptizi angaze ayisele iwayini nesiselo esinxilisayo. YayinguYe owayalela ukuzikhwebula kwizinto ezinxilisayo kumfazi kaManowa. Wabuya wabeka isiqalekiso kumntu obeka ibhotile [yotywala] emilebeni yommelwane wakhe. UKristu akazange ayiphikise imfundiso yaKhe. Iwayini engenagwele awayenzela abamenywa emtshatweni yayisisiselo esipheleleyo nesihlaziyayo. Igalelo laso yayikukuzisa ilithe ekuhambelaneni nokuthanda ukutya ngendlela esempilweni.ULw 149.5

    Ngeli xesha abamenywa bethetha ngexabiso lobumnandi bewayini, imibuzo yaya kwizicaka yaza yabuya nempendulo eyingxelo yommangaliso. Kwaba lithuba abantu bemangaliswe kakhulu ukuba bacinge ngaLowo wenze lo msebenzi umangalisayo. Kwathi ethubeni, xa bemkhangela, kwafumaniseka ukuba uzithe sululu wemka ngokuzola engaqatshelwanga nangabafundi baKhe.ULw 150.1

    Umdla wabantu ngoku wabhekiswa kubafundi. Kwaba kokokuqala benethuba lokuvuma ukukholelwa kwabo kuYesu. Bathetha ngabakubonayo nabakuvayo eYordan, kwaza kwabakho ukuqaleka ezintliziyweni ezininzi kwethemba lokuba uThixo unyuse umhlanguli wabantu baKhe. Iindaba zommangaliso zasasazeka kuwo wonke loo mmandla, wada waya kufika eYerusalem. Ngomdla omtsha, ababingeleli namadoda amakhulu baphengulula iziprofeto ezalatha ekufikeni kukaKristu. Kwabakho ulangazelelo olunenzondelelo lokufunda ngomsebenzi wale titshala intsha, eyabonakala phakathi kwabantu ngendledlana engabonisanga kubaluleka [kwayo].ULw 150.2

    Ukusebenza kukaYesu kwakwahluke kakhulu kokwamadoda amakhulu akwaYuda. Ukuxabisa kwawo isithethe nokusesikweni kwayichitha yonke inkululeko eyiyo yokucinga okanye yokwenza. Kwakuhleli kukho uloyiko lokungcoliseka. Ukuphepha ukuchukumisana “nokungahlambulukileyo,” azigcina ebucala, kungekho kuphela eziNtlangeni, kodwa nakwabaninzi kubantu bawo, engafuni kubanceda nganto kuquka nokuba nobuhlobo nabo. Ngokuthi rhoqo ehleli kule micimbi, azidodobalisa iingqondo zawo awucutha umzila ojikeleze ubomi bawo. Umzekelo wawo wawukhuthaza ukuzingca nokunganyamezelani phakathi kweendidi zabantu.ULw 150.3

    UYesu wawuqala umsebenzi wohlaziyo ngokuziqhelanisa ngovelwano olunzulu noluntu. Ngexesha wayebonisa eyona ntlonipho inkulu emthethweni kaThixo, wabukhalimela ubungcwele bokuzenzisa babaFarisi, wazama ukubakhulula abantu kwimigaqo engenangqondo eyayibaqamangele. Wayezama ukuwisa iindonga ezazisahlula iindidi zabantu ezahlukeneyo ekuhlaleni [okanye emphakathini], ukuze akwazi ukubahlanganisa abantu njengabantwana bosapho olunye. Ukubakho kwaKhe esidlweni somtshato kwakulungiselela ukuba kube linyathelo eliya phambili ekwenzeni oku.ULw 150.4

    UThixo wayeyalele uYohane umBhaptizi ukuba ahlale entlango, ukuze akhuseleke kwimpembelelo yababingeleli noorhabhi, aze alungele umsebenzi okhethekileyo awuthunyiweyo. Noko kunjalo, ukubonakala bunzima kwanokuma bodwa kobomi bakhe, kwakungenguwo umzekelo ebantwini. UYohane ngokwakhe akazange abayalele ababemphulaphula ukuba bayishiye imisebenzi yabo yangaphambili. Wathi mabanike ubungqina benguquko yabo ngokunyaniseka kuThixo kuloo ndawo wayebabize bekuyo.ULw 150.5

    UYesu wakukhalimela ukuziyekela ngazo zonke iintlobo zako, kodwa ngendalo wayethanda ukuba phakathi kwabantu. Wamkela ububele bazo zonke iindidizabantu, ehambelaamakhayaabantu abazizityebi nabahluphekileyo, abafundileyo nabangafundanga, efuna ukuphakamisa iingcinga kwiintetho ezingezinto eziqhelekileyo zobomi ukuba ziye kwezikamoya nezingunaphakade. Akazange anike mvume yokuchitha, kwaye kungekho nethunzi lokuthsafaza elaphazamisa ukuziphatha kwaKhe; kanti ke wayefumana ulonwabo kwimiboniso yolonwabo olumsulwa, kwathi ngobukho baKhe wawuvumela umhlangano wasekuhlaleni. Umsitho wesiYuda yayingumcimbi obukekayo, kwaye uvuyo lwawo lwalungamgxothi uNyana woMntu. Ngokuza kwesi sidlo, uYesu wawuzukisa umtshato njengesimiso sezulu.ULw 151.1

    Kuzo zombini iiTestamente eNdala neNtsha, ulwalamano lomtshato lusetyenziswa ukuba lumele umanyano olunothando nolungcwele oluthi lubekho phakathi kukaKristu nabantu baKhe. Engqondweni kaYesu uchulumanco lweziyunguma zomtshato zalatha phambili kuvuyo lwaloo mini xa uYesu eya kuzisa ekhaya umtshakazi waKhe endlwini kaYise, baze abahlangulweyo kunye noMhlawuleli bahlale phantsi esidlweni somsitho weMvana. Uthi, “Njengomyeni enemihlali ngomtshakazi, uThixo wakho uya kuba nemihlali ngawe.” “Akuyi kuba sathiwa kuwe unguSishiywa; . . . kuya kuthiwa unguNdimnanzileyo; . . . ngokuba uYehova ekunanzile.” “Unemihlali ngawe, unemivuyo; uthe cwaka eluthandweni lwakhe, ugcoba ngawe ememelela.” Isa. 62:5, 4; Zef. 3:17. Ukunikwa kwakhe umbono wezinto zasezulwini, uYohane wabhala: “Ndeva sanga sisandi sesihlwele esikhulu, sanga sisandi samanzi amaninzi, sanga sisandi seendudumo ezinkulu, sisithi: Haleluya! Ngokuba iNkosi uThixo uSomandla inguKumkani. Masivuye sigcobe, siyizukise; ngokuba ufikile umsitho weMvana, umfazi wayo uzilungisile.” “Banoyolo abo bamenyelwe esidlweni somsitho weMvana.” IsiTy. 19:6, 7, 9.ULw 151.2

    UYesu wayebona kuwo wonke umphefumlo umntu ofanelwe ukubizelwa ebukumkanini baKhe. Wayefikelela kwiintliziyo zabantu ngokuya phakathi kwabo njengaLowo wayelangazelela ukulungelwa kwabo. Wayebakhangela ezindleleni eziphangaleleyo, ezindlwini ezingamakhaya abo, ezikhepheni, kwizindlu zesikhungu, ngaselunxwemeni lolwandle, nasemathekweni emitshato. Wayehlangana nabo emisebenzini yabo yemihla ngemihla, ebonisa ukuba nomdla kwimicimbi yabo yasekuhlaleni. Abasokuze bafane basifune bona ngokwabo. Asikuphela epulpitini ezithi iintliziyo zabantu zibe nokuchukunyiswa yinyaniso yezulu.     Njengokuba singabafundi bakaKristu, akufuneki sizimanye nehlabathi nje kuba sithanda iziyolo, ukuzimanya nabo kuyimpazamo. Umanyano olunjalo lunokuphelela ebungozini kuphela. Akufuneki size sivumele isono ngamazwi ethu okanye izenzo zethu, ngokuthula kwethu okanye ngobukho bethu. Kuyo yonke indawo esiya kuyo, kufuneka simthwale abe kunye nathi uYesu, size siveze kwabanye ukuxabiseka koMsindisi wethu.     Kufuneka sonke sibe ngamangqina kaYesu. Amandla asekuhlaleni, angcwaliswe lubabalo lukaKristu, kufuneka akhuliswe ngokuzuzela uMsindisi imiphefumlo. Ihlabathi malibone ukuba asiqolozelanga kwizinto zethu kuphela, koko silangazelela ukuba nabanye babelane nathi kwiintsikelelo zethu namalungelo ethu. Mababone ukuba inkolo yethu ayisenzi sibe ngabantu abangenaluvelwano okanye abanenkani. Abo bazibiza ngokuthi bamfumene uKristu, mabalungiselele njengoko naye wenzayo ukuze kulungelwe abantu.ULw 152.4

    Akufuneki ukuba ihlabathi silinike ingqondo engeyiyo yokuba amaKristu angabantu abadakumbileyo, abangonwabanga.Ukuba amehlo ethu azinze kuYesu, siya kubona uMhlanguli onemfesane, size sizuze ukukhanya kwimbonakalo yaKhe. Kuyo yonke indawo olawula kuyo uMoya waKhe, apho kukho uxolo. Kuya kubakho novuyo, kuba apho, kukho ukuthemba uThixo okuzolileyo nokungcwele.ULw 153.1

    UKristu uyaneliseka ngabalandeli baKhe xa bebonisa ukuba, nangona bengabantu, banenxaxheba kwindalo yobuThixo. Abayiyo imifanekiso eqingqiweyo, koko bangamadoda nabafazi abaphilileyo. Iintliziyo zabo, zihlaziywe yimibethe yobabalo lwezulu, zendlalekile, zivulekile ukuba zamkele iLanga loBulungisa.
